Who God Uses for His Will_01 Ezra 1:1-6: INTRODUCTION This series The Trail Back addresses what God did for the Jewish people throughout the events recorded in the book of Ezra. Through failure, forgetting what is important, and sin, we may become exiles attempting to return to God. However, just as in the book of Ezra God reclaimed his people according to his promises, he also reclaims and redeems our lives for his purpose in this world. The people of God are very important for God and He never turns Hid back on Hid people.He was descendant of Hilkiah Ezra 7:1, the high priest who found a copy of the law during the reign of Josiah 2 Chronicles 34:14. Ezra, as a priest, was unable to serve during the captivity, but he gave his time to a study of the Word of God, he was "a ready scribe in the law of Moses" Ezra 7:6. Ezra was a great revivalist and reformer. The revival began with the reading of the Word of God by Ezra Nehemiah 8. Also, he probably was the writer of 1 and 2 Chronicles and of Psalm 119 which exalts the Word of God. As Ezra was in Preparation to bring the exiles back to the promised land.It is a Picture of preparing oneself for Heaven and believers preparing to serve the Lord.The promise Land mentioned in Ezra is a type of Heaven and the sacrifices mentioned are a symbol of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ for our sins.The Temple is a symbol of God's presence and the rebuilding is a picture of Gods sovereignty in the Life and work for our sins. The Trail back series is a picture of a New beginning with Churches having great joy and celebration in worship.God is watching over and protecting the church and His people.
