All people are dead in trespasses and sins before being saved. It is Christ who makes us alive. The Bible says what it means and means what is says. The only hope that we have is in Christ Jesus. The five solas are: Sola Scriptura, by scripture alone. Scripture is above all else. Scripture is the final authority, it is God's word, perfect, complete, it is pure truth. Sola Gratia, grace alone. We are saved by God grace alone. It is not grace plus something else. We were dead and brought our sin to the table. It is grace alone that God saved us. Sola Fide, by faith alone. God's Spirit makes us alive and gives us faith to believe. Just believing that a list of things are true is not saving faith. Saving faith is believing and obeying what Jesus tells us. Solus Christus, through Christ alone. Jesus is our only hope. Jesus is the way, the truth, the life, and there is no other way that we can be saved. Soli Deo Gloria, glory to God alone. The glory of God transcends all other glory. Even people who do not believe in God, bring glory to God. God created the Universe and all the glory goes to Him.
