This is what was going on in the Catholic church before reformers like John Wycliffe and William Tyndale stepped up to help bring the Bible to the people in a language they understood. The central truth that all need to know is the gospel. God wants people to hear the gospel in a language that they understand. Jesus has purchased people from every tribe and nation. Wycliffe in 1382 produced the first New Testament manuscript. 1494 Tyndale was born. He was fluent in 8 languages. In 1525 he created the New Testament in English. Because of their sacrifices and the sacrifices of others, we are able to read the Bible for ourselves in a language that we understand.
