Ever been in a place when you don't know what to do? Times come when not one thing but many things are bombarding us. No clue as to how to fix the situation. The only thing to do is to keep our eyes focused on God. Notice in this passage the whole family got together and got down on their knees- praying. Looking to God not just in the good times when it's easy but when it ain't so good. We may feel trapped but God is the one who can set us free. The one who stops us from looking to God is not satan of his demons. Those jokers can only hinder; the one who stops us in the one in the mirror. He or she has to decide what to do when we don't know what to do. Yes doing so is a cry for mercy; but mercy is what we need so don't feel ashamed about asking for help, God loves to help us. We can't change it but God and His mercy can, just look to Him. It is so important what our eyes are focused on. Stop looking at that trouble, that discouragement, that sin, and look to God just like the folks in this chapter did. That is what we need to do, when we don't know what to do keep our eyes on God.
