"Should you help the wicked (aid and support them in their wicked intentions) and love (affirm, applaud, appreciate, and agree with) those who hate the Lord? Therefore, (because you mistakenly overestimated the value of their trash and underestimated the value of God's ways) the wrath of the Lord is upon you. Nevertheless (never less than grace) good things are found in you…" (1 Chronicles 19:1-3)
It's an active part of every living being to know how to dump waste and gather what is precious and valuable. This applies to our bodies, our homes, our minds, our relationships, and so on… if we can't properly store the right things and flush or discard the waste we'd be overrun with rubbish and dung. We must know how to count things as waste to cling to the surpassing value of the right things. Most people know how to flush their toilets and take out their trash but they don't know what to do with the trash and wasteful things of life. Mainly because they don't see it as trash.
Most everyone you know is a hoarder. They are a hoarder of all the wrong things about life and their mind is a landfill of unwise counsel, falsehood, lies, and deception. Why do we hoard this trash? We simply see it as acceptable and part of who we are. God's wisdom in Proverbs teaches us that (a) folly is a joy to him who is destitute of understanding. (b) Fools see it as an abomination to throw off those things that have zero eternal value (evil). (c) And they who forsake the ways of God REST in the assembly of the living dead. Can you see how one can get comfortable and casual with hoarding trash in their minds?
