If our love is not deeply rooted in God's grace... our love can't blossom in eternity.
The blossoms of our love will fall off when we're transported into eternity.
The only common soil in heaven and on earth is the soil of grace.
Let me explain... love that's not rooted in nor the result of grace will not count when all is said and done.
We are taught it is impossible to understand the fullness of God's love independently of ourselves. God uses His people collectively to teach each other the depth of His love: "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:17-19)
