Do we learn from those things that the nation of Israel had suffered when they were delivered from Egypt and went into the wilderness? We should. Their unbelief, lusting after evil things, suffered serious consequences, and so does ours. Evil things for us do not mean that the things are evil in themselves. The evil is when we become dissatisfied with what the Lord has provided, and would rather lust after what He has not willed to supply for us. That we need to learn from Israel's sad example and not let it be repeated in us.
