The fall of Adam and Eve has produced in all of us a sinful discontentment with God's created order: women desire to rule over their husbands and husbands tend to be spiritually passive and lazy, when God has called them to be the spiritual heads of their homes. Yet by the Sovereign work of regeneration and the outworking of our sanctification, the Lord works in us to restore our contentment with the created order. The result? Men who walk in Christ-centered manliness and women who are God-fearing ladies.
