Quiting means to give up, retire, withdraw, check-out. Too many people are ready to quit and do just that; not knowing that they may have been on the verge of victory. But circumstances have pushed them far enough. The heart has lost the desire to keep going; to take another step forward. It is our nature to quit. We want it easy and think we ain't got the strength to actually work. But get an instructor, an encourager and we can find the strength we never knew we had. The endurance and patience is there but we must dig down for it. The Holy Spirit is our instructor. He has provided us with tools such as prayer, fellow Christians, God's word, and even songs. So much comes at our heads to mess up our thinking but run to these helps instead of giving in to our human nature. We are renewed everyday. These light afflictions are things that we can build on (be renewed) we survived yesterday through all that, so we can know God can carry us through. Just rebel against calling it quits.
