This is the unveiling of the great mystery of marriage as God intended. The profound love of God is shown by the husband loving his wife. They are joined in the closest relationship known on this planet. Married love is numerically single. One + One = One. It is only between one man and one woman. What we do with our bodies is important. A healthy sexual relationship has been declared by God to be good. He has also commanded it be enjoyed in the bounds of marriage. Marriage gives as experiential knowledge of Jesus' love for the church.
Marital love is without shame. Shame came because of sin. Adam and Eve were ashamed to show themselves before God. Clothing was used to cover sin. Being naked is vulnerable. Being unclothed in marriage is a taste of heaven. The married couple experience a taste of the future pleasure available in Christ. The Son of Solomon warns against engaging in any acts of sexual intimacy before marriage. The Church MUST keep this before men as society no longer blushes at sin.
Avoid sexual misconduct as God will punish transgressors. We are called to holiness living. To despise this rule is to despise God. Avoid any companionship and media that would sexually stimulate. Be in constant prayer, reading and fellowship. Fall in love with Jesus. Dwell on what is good. Run from evil.
