Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Here lately I have found myself to be weighed down by the events and obligations that are in my life. This weight has played the role of getting me side tracked on the things of God and have caused me to be fixed on the things of this world. I'm sharing this with you because I believe that I'm not the only one going through this battle. Many brothers and sister's of the Lord are out there and are fighting this same spiritual war. I have been studying Bible prophecy for a long time and I know that we are in the Last days. Jesus Christ will soon return! This message is to give you hope and encourage you to keep on the firing line.

Luke 21:1-36
1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Just like this widow that Jesus was observing and commenting on, likewise are those who continue to give all to the Lord in the good times and also the bad times. There are those who will live their lives as a living sacrifice and there are those who will give just enough to set their conscience at ease. The Christian road is narrow and it's a hard road to travel. It's not easy, it's not popular, it's lonely and comes with rejection and persecution.

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Many will seek to find it and will try and enter through another way but they will not succeed. Many will be fooled by other religions and rules and works, but will not enter. One of the greatest deceptions is the belief that “I believe that there is a God and if I'm a good person that I will enter in to heaven”.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life.

Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Many will start out on the right road but will be weighed down by deception, anticipation and will get tired of the hard road only to stray toward an easy path.

Matthew 7:13 ¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

No one wants to take the hard way. No one wants to be chastised and corrected. No one wants to be disliked. So we will make every excuse to continue in the lifestyle of sin and continue to ignore and reject the truth.

Luke 17:26-27
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Luke 21:5-8
5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

Jesus was saying not only will men claim to be the Christ but that also many would come in His name representing Jesus Christ.

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

When one comes in the name of Jesus but uses the methods of the world to bring in the people, the fruit that has been produced is compromised by a worldly seed. Mankind is bound by the bondage of sin and only through conviction, brokenness and the rejection of pride will you come to a state that that will allow the Holy Ghost to work in you the will of God. There are no methods of the world that will win you to Jesus Christ!
Luke 21:9-10
9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

People are being programmed and indoctrinated by television, movies, music, and books. There is a hatred and a rage that is being broadcast daily in the news that is feeding the darkness that has flooded the land. The lust for the flesh and the murdering of the innocent is only desensitizing the minds of many to a state of denial and of reality.

Luke 21:11
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

I have an earthquake app on my phone and between yesterday and right now we have had over 120 earthquake around the world.

Luke 21:12-15
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

When we stay in communion with the Lord and filled with the Holy Ghost God will always provide for us.

Deuteronomy 4:31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

Luke 21:16-18
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

Does this match what Is being taught in the churches today? Did you know that friends and relatives will betray you? Were you told that you may be put to death for your following Jesus Christ? Were you told that you would be hated by the world?

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
The narrow way is the hard way, it is not the fun way!
Luke 21:19
19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

We must remain focused on the things of God and reject the distractions.

Luke 21:20-24
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

God has a set time that He will no longer allow a person to repent of their sins. We are approaching that threshold of no return. Wickedness has saturated the minds and hearts of the most and the only remedy is judgment. Many who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ have become careless and have compromised there walk with the Lord.

Luke 21:25-26
25 ¶ And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Last year and continuing into this year we've had a total of 3 blood red moons and this September 28th we will have another one. All of these blood red moons have fallen on Jewish holidays. We have seen signs in the sun the moon and in the stars. The wickedness of mankind has increased along immorality and no fear of God or consequences for our corruption.

Luke 21:26-28

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Through the eye's of a believer these signs are a confirmation that Jesus Christ is soon to return. Through the eye's of the world these things will bring terror in an instant. The world will not be ready for the deception or the reality of God's judgment's when it comes.

Isaiah 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Luke 21:29-33
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

We have been given God's Word and it describes the signs that will warn us of Jesus Christ return and the Day of the Lord.

Luke 21:34-36
34 ¶ And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The time for playing games with your eternal salvation is over! Repent and get right with God before it's too late.
