The Deceiver Judas was one of the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus to to join him on his mission here on earth.
Matt 10:1-8
1And when he had called untohimhis twelve disciples, he gave them poweragainstunclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; Jamesthe sonof Zebedee, and John his brother;3Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; Jamesthe sonof Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
4Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying,Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Judas was among the twelve that Jesus called to go out and do the work of a disciple. Jesus gave them power do do great and mighty things. The Bible does not say that Judas was one that was not able to do these works. Just as Judas was called Christians today are also called and have the power to go out and spread the gospel of the Kingdom of God.
Mark 16:15-18
15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
The same mighty works the disciples did back then we as followers of Jesus Christ are commanded to do today.
