Abortion Clinic - What about rape?
Abortion Evangelism in the Press
R.C. Sproul Jr. recently wrote, “Christians should be at abortion mills, all of them, everyday. We should not be silent.” Like many pastors and Christians I have long known that I needed to do far more to stand in the gap for the millions of unborn children being murdered in abortion clinics. 55 million precious children have died since Roe vs. Wade. That is 1/6th of America’s total population. That is the combined population of California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. It is a staggering number that increases with every passing day. As a pastor, a Christian, and a human being I have repented of my apathy. By God’s grace, I will not be silent anymore.
Abortion doctors make their living by murdering and dismembering babies. After a long career of baby genocide, Kermit Gosnell was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder for severing the spinal cords of infants born during abortions at his West Philadelphia clinic. Kermit Gosnell is no different than any other abortion doctor. The inconvenient truth is that they make a very good living by a very bad means, the murder of innocent, inconvenient children. They get rich by preying primarily upon ethnic minorities and the impoverished. African-American baby girls are the foremost victims of abortion. This is in keeping with Margaret Sanger’s (founder of Planned Parenthood) Eugenic goals. Pastor Clenard Childres, Jr. explained it with these shocking words, “The most dangerous place for an African-American baby is in the Womb.”
In Germany, under the influence of the Nazi party, average citizens turned a blind eye to the murder of millions of Jewish men and women in concentration camps. In America, under the influence of Liberalism, average citizens (including Christians) turn a blind eye to the genocide of the unborn that takes place in evil institutions with names like Lovejoy Surgicenter. A few months ago I stepped out in faith for the first time with visiting evangelist Tony Miano and members of Beaverton Grace Bible Church, taking the Law and the Gospel to Portland’s self described abortion leader, the Lovejoy Surgicenter. Since that time we have gone nearly every week. It is a heart breaking, vital ministry of grace and truth on the front lines of life and death.
Sara Sneath, of the Willamette Week, wrote a critical article about Beaverton Grace Bible Church’s ongoing abortion clinic evangelism ministry in which she quotes Allene Klass, CEO and owner of the Lovejoy Surgicenter, saying, “They’re punishing. They’re nasty. They’re mean. They are trying to intimidate and they are trying to embarrass” (http://www.wweek.com/portland/article-20968-video_games_on_lovejoy.html). The hypocrisy of Allene Klass’s accusations is apalling. The CEO and owner of Portland’s premier abortion provider, where babies (many of which are female) are murdered and dismembered every day is accusing us of being “punishing,” “nasty,” “mean,” and “intimidat[ing]” toward women. Really?
What do we do at the Lovejoy Surgicenter abortion clinic? We don’t “deny access,” “discriminate,” or block anyone’s movement in any way. We hold signs that tell the truth about what is taking place inside; “Babies Are Murdered Here.” We speak truth to the men and women who come to have their children aborted, exhorting them to choose life for their little baby boy or girl. We preach the Law to expose sin and revive the conscience, and the Gospel to call them to salvation by grace through faith in Christ. This ministry is the basic expression of Biblical truth and love toward the unborn, their parents, and the doctors and nurses. Every Biblical pastor and church should be involved in this life saving, soul saving, front line abortion clinic evangelism. Proverbs 31:8 says, “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause for all who are appointed to die.”
The Oregon State Labor Commissioner, Brad Avakian, is said to have “started an informal inquiry into the Lovejoy Surgicenter protesters (BGBC) under Oregon’s laws banning discrimination and requiring ‘full and equal accommodations, advantages, facilities and privileges of any place of public accommodation.’” The WW article goes on to say, “It’s the same law state officials use to prohibit discrimination based on race, religion or sexual orientation.” Mr. Avakian is attempting to thwart our Constitutional right to publicly speak to other Americans about abortion with a misapplied discrimination law. We don’t discriminate. We speak with grace and truth to men and women of all ethnicities about choosing life at the Lovejoy Surgicenter. We preach the Law and the Gospel to all regardless of race, gender, or creed.
The Oregonian followed the Willamette Week’s lead with an article by Nicole Friedman:
“The Bureau of Labor and Industries is informally investigating whether new protesters outside the Lovejoy Surgicenter are violating state law by denying people access to the center. The bureau is trying to determine whether the protesters are violating women's civil rights by denying them access to the clinic based on gender, Burr said. It would be the first time this civil rights statute has been used to address anti-abortion protests, he said. The bureau used the same statute to investigate allegations that Portland's Twilight Room Annex, formerly known as the P Club, denied access to transgender people, he said. The inquiry into the protests at Lovejoy Surgicenter began within the last two months, Burr said. He declined to speculate on how long the inquiry could take or whether the protesters are affiliated with any organization.”

Mr. Burr and Mr. Avakian of the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, are attempting to override the U.S. Constitution with a twisted application of an antidiscrimination law. If you follow the BOLI link you find that Mr. Avakian’s Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries is openly united with the LGBTQ community:
New Video PSA Targets Housing Discrimination
As part of their ongoing partnership with BOLI, the Q Center of Portland has produced a short public service announcement emphasizing the fair housing rights of LGBTQ Oregonians. The 30-second ad helps to illustrate the diversity of the LGBTQ community and to reinforce to all Oregonians that may be facing unlawful housing discrimination, BOLI is the place to go for help.

Who is Brad Avakian? He is a leading LGBT civil rights activist, lawyer, and politician in Oregon. He is a key voice and influence promoting the homosexual agenda and gay marriage legislation in Oregon. He champions the U.S. Constitution in the advancement of the LGBT agenda, but in sharp contrast seeks to trample the U.S. Constitution when it comes to the right of Christians to minister the Word of God at abortion clinics in the state of Oregon. If you speak out loud, proud, and publically for a cause Mr. Avakian agrees with, he is all for it, but if you speak out boldly and publically for a cause Mr. Avakian opposes, he will use his position and power to shut you down if possible.
In early 2013, the WW published an article about Mr. Avakain’s defense of the “transgendered” T-Girls’ civil rights at a Portland bar. The last paragraph of that article is especially insightful:
“We will aggressively prosecute the case,” Avakian said. “Not only do we have the new law, but we have a position, the labor commissioner position, and an agency that's in charge of making sure that this law has teeth, that when someone is treated unfairly, the law stands up to protect them.”

As a member of the Oregon Senate, Mr. Avakian helped create the Oregon Equality Act In 2007. Now he feels that he has gained a position of power from which he can enforce his LGBT activist law with “teeth.” Apparently he believes his teeth are big enough, powerful enough, and sharp enough to reach all the way over to the Lovejoy Surgicenter, and every other abortion clinic in Oregon, to take a bite out of Christians ministering the Law of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We will continue to minister grace and truth, Law and Gospel at the Lovejoy Surgicenter. We invite Bible believing Christians across America and in the Pacific Northwest to join us in repenting of silent apathy, and in loving unborn children, their parents, and abortion clinic doctors and nurses with action and truth. May God grant that lives and souls will be saved. May the Lord be pleased to grant Allene Klass (CEO/owner of the Lovejoy Surgicenter) and Brad Avakian (Oregon State Labor Commissioner) repentance of their evil deeds and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 82:3-4 “Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.”
Proverbs 24:11-12 “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’ does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”
