What is Solomon talking about? I believe he describes a prevalent condition that we as humans deal with. Examining the words Solomon uses reveals he describes what we commonly call depression. My first impression was, what would Solomon know about depression? He was the richest man that has ever lived on the face of the earth. There was nothing that he could not have given himself and enjoyed. What could there be about his life to be depressed over? The reality is that no one is immune from dealing with some measure of depression, Man or woman, rich or poor, young or old; and might I add, Christian or non-Christian, everyone is susceptible to bouts of depression.
