You know how when you read something and it sets your heart and mind on fire? Well that has happened to me frequently over many years, and it is often accompanied by the desire to share such reading material with others.
I have found that I can read old, out of print, Christian books, into audio files and post them onto the SermonAudio site. I did not know that I had it in me to do that, but I wonder that I never did this before. If you are going to read something for your own edification, why not read it out loud and make it available for anyone else who might want to benefit?
I hope this is a blessing to others. Here, I have included the link to the Chapter from Norman Macfarlane's book "Apostles of the North" above, because I believe that the outbreak of revivals on the Island of Lewis have been of remarkable importance in the nation's Christian life, and I long that we would see it again. Yes, in Lewis!
I lived and worked in Lewis for a short season and met so many wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ there.
I have a great deal more material to add. I do not know how long I may have to do this as, I may be called back from my isolation, on account of Covid-19, at any time, to serve on the medical front line.
Posting these books is a blessing, and it is a good way of passing the time when one has to be alone for days at a stretch. Because the time is short, and there are many treasures out there to be rediscovered, which can build up and energise the Body of Christ, I would encourage others to do the same. Make sure however that you are not breaching any copywrite.
