BLOG ON: SERMON Indestructible — Until God…
Pastor Nick Holden
Nick Holden
Just a little something for you to nibble on today. And remember, if God be for us, who in this physical world [and beyond] can ever be against us!

"And when they have FINISHED their testimony..." (Revelation 11:7)

These words... glory, they bring me such great assurance and so much comfort. Now, don’t miss this beautiful truth. The same God who will give them their assignment, is my Shepherd and King, who has given me mine.

Therefore, the principles are just the same, for me and every other servant, living on mission for Jesus, as it will be for them. I've been given a unique purpose to fulfill, my very own race to run, a clear course to walk for the glory of God, yes, His joy and will has been set before me, yes, my cross to bear, as a witness and testimony to His redeeming grace. Glory... and until I'm FINISHED, with my divine assignment upon this earth, I'm indestructible.

This doesn’t mean I can't be harmed, hurt, attacked, taken advantage of or even killed by the enemy, but it does mean I'm indestructible until the mission is finished. And no matter what the enemy is given authority to do with me, it will never workout the way he or they intended. Why? No weapon formed against shall prosper to the full intent of their purpose... they do not have the final word. The Almighty, my answer for life and death and everything in between, the Alpha and Omega, spoke the first word over me and He will have the final word over my life and work. And the same applies to every redeemed servant of the Most High God.

This is how Isaiah describes this thought.

"Behold, I (God) have created the blacksmith...who brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the spoiler to destroy. [They can only do what I, the Lord, permits]. Therefore, no weapon formed against you shall prosper [to the intent of the spoiler intended], and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. THIS is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord" (Isaiah 54:16-17).

And, as Isaiah reminds us, the blacksmith (the weapon makers) and the spoilers and destroyers (those who use them) were all created, and they were created with purpose. And their weapons (even when used against us) shall not prosper (to the intent they intended it to be used) even when they were formed against us. Why? What they meant for harm and evil, never goes as planned when God is for us. (Isaiah 54:16-17)

I love the insight that Joseph (Jacob's son) had, in regards to the traps the enemy used to overthrow his life, when he said, "What the enemy meant for harm, God meant for good." (Genesis 50:20 ; 45:5-7)

Good glory what a transforming thought.

“The Lord upholds the righteous. He knows the days of the upright. The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord, they feed and dwell, trust and delight, wait and rest upon Him, and He will never forsake His own, for they are preserved forever. Because their trust rest securely in Him.” (Ps 37)

No matter what they have to face, the disciples of the Lord Jesus — are indestructible and unstoppable — until our God and Father decides it's time to bring us home.

He promised, and He's proved it, time and time again, for He cannot lie. So, I encourage you, my friend, to REST in it, WALK by it, REJOICE over it, LEAD others through it and never forget to LOVE from it.

"And when they have FINISHED their testimony..." (Revelation 11:7)

Live, my friends, and live with passion for Him, fulfilling a purpose from Him. And always remember, you're indestructible...

Blessings, may each of you have a great day nibbling and chewing on this sweet goodness. May the river of His steadfast love overflow its banks and flood your lives with the overwhelming and refreshing waters of His life and grace.

Acts 23:11-35 ; Romans 8:28-39 ; Isaiah 54:16-17 ; Acts 13:25
