Revelation teaches us there's a storm brewing and it's headed our direction. We find on several occasions where John noticed lightings and thundering around God's throne. This tells me a storm is building and it's not going to be long before it impacts this world. Some can only anticipate the storm while others can look for the Savior. Be prepared... and remember, He's coming quickly!
This is important... If we don’t look like Him, when we face Him, being clothed and crowned in His righteousness, His judgment will be without His mercy. I shared this principle with a guy recently, along with another pastor, who was involved in the conversation, and they both responded like a deer in headlights. Silence... not a word from either. I could understand the boy I was speaking to not knowing how to respond... but the pastor, I would have thought he would have agreed or affirmed this truth. Why?
His mercy and redeeming grace, in Christ, are only available to us in this life, that they may be applied in the here and now and when we face Him in the sweet bye and bye. We don’t want to face Jesus and not look like Him or not be as righteous as Him.
May the Lord use and helps us, to be a help to others, that they can, by faith, see what He sees, before they face Him without His mercy. Glory... the Savior and a horrible storm is coming. And I’m looking for the Savior.
