Don't feel left out when others don't include you in their inner circle... if everyone was included in the inner circle, it would no longer be what it is.
Jesus didn’t include everyone in His huddle... and others don’t have to invite you nor do you have to include someone else in your huddle.
It’s perfectly ok to not be part of every inner circle... but if you feel like you’re suppose to be, you’ll pout every single time they do something without you. Think about it... how many of you feel left out or pouting about the inner circle (huddle) of Alabama’s or Clemson’s offense... none of you, because you know it’s not your inner circle, so you never think twice about why they didn’t include you. So you can enjoy the game because you’re not threatened when they huddle without you.
This is important to recognize. Why? That we don’t take it personal... or become frustrated or defensive, as we do with a ballgame. A defensive spirit is a threatened spirit... and when we are threatened we are not approachable and accessible. We want to learn from the Master that we too can remain approachable, accessible and aware of the people we’ve been give to love and lead, even those who do not include us in the huddle.
Keep this in mind. Jesus didn’t include everyone in His circle... He had 12 He wanted to be with Him (and one of them was a devil) and it was just 3 that He kept closer than the other 9. Had we been around in that day... Jesus would have left us out, too. I’m good with it... because He included me in His grace family and invited me to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Him. That’s enough for me... for He’s enough for me! Glory.
