The Undertow

Luke 17:26-27 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

We live in a world that continues to shamelessly indulge in the practicing of the Creator of the Heavens and Earth call sin every day. We regard no boundaries of moral conduct but freely choose to swim in a flood of sexual sin and boastfully encourage and advertise to the world our pride of personal choices and promote the sins of homosexuality, drug abuse, prostitution, pornography, abortion, and alcohol.

All of these sins and more are committed day after day. Not only are these sins committed by the world but they are also committed by those who call themselves believers, and followers of Jesus Christ.

The response from the Lord from the result of these sins has been pretty quiet. Although I do believe we have been given a measure of judgment in the results of our countries leadership and the moral decline of our nation and even throughout the world. As we are living in the year of 2016 it’s easy to take a look around and relate the sins of the world to the response from the Church. The body of Christ has fallen asleep and forsaken the true call to be holy as the Lord God is holy.

We have justified our modern day progression for the excuse of saving the lost but the result is a lost Church and a body of members who have become spiritually dead and have fallen into a sleep of death.

We are in the greatest time of history with the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ being imminent and he’s pounding on the door of our conscience and our hearts warning us to wake up!

We’re swimming in a river of false grace that allows sin to rule and we live a life that is contrary to everything that the Word of God says and we are unknowingly being carried away by the undertow that will carry us to the Great White Thrown Judgment.

There is an undertow in the realm of religion that has and is drowning followers of Jesus Christ daily. When we give way to sin and compromise the standards of God we are breaching the area that no one should be swimming in. Hidden sin that is stuffed away and buried deep in the conscience in the heart of mankind can only be hidden for so long.

Hidden sin is a planted seed of destruction and death and will certainly be cultivated by the storms of life and will one day break forth from the ground to reap death and destruction.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

God told Noah to build an Ark because He had enough of the sin and corruption in the world.

Genesis 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

The Lord was grieved at the continuing in sin and that mankind had no regards to a Holy God and no fear or reverence to Him.

Genesis 6:7-8

7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

The Lord had decided to judge the world of its wickedness but to save the righteous. The righteous are those who have set aside the things of the world and the ways of the world. The world excepts everything and anything goes. If we take a look at the ten Commandments we see that they are all disregarded by the world and are considered to be restrictions that are legalistic and rob a person of their personal rights as an individual. We live in a world that wants no restrictions or rules! The people do not want the religious restrictions of God in their lives.

The world has chose its path and the Church of Jesus Christ needs to wake up and choose its path before its too late. The Lord has a remnant of people that he considers to be righteous, They are a people that have been washed by the Blood of the Lamb. The only Begotten Son of the Lord almighty Jesus Christ of Nazareth, born of virgin, a miracle that could only be performed by God the Father. Jesus Christ God in the flesh came down from on high to deliver mankind from the wages of sin and that is death.

Choose the road you want, live the life you desire to live but know in the end you will stand before the one who has eye’s of fire and there is no sin or transgression that will be hidden from His presence, but only brought to the light and weighed in the balances. The world has been weighed in the balances and has been found wanting in the eye’s of the Lord.

The Church has been weighed in the balances and has been found wanting in the eye’s of the Lord. Judgment is at the door and the world is swimming in sin and the undertow is creeping closer and closer to the feet of those Christians who continue to swim in the waters of compromise. The church has become a stumbling block to the world and allows the seduction and the Spirit of Jezebel to dwell in their sanctuaries. Hidden sin has crept into the pulpit and into the study of the pastors. Pride has come into the pastors study. You might say Dan how has pride come into my study? The result of you having a social media account exposes your pride of self glorification.

Posting personal pictures of yourself exposes a leaven of pride that has leavened the whole lump, and if your leavened than your church will be leavened and your congregation will be leavened and your ministry will result with either a house that is dead and empty or filled with seduction and sin that mirrors the world. Hidden sin is the manna of death and it breeds and destroys lives and congregations and it must be exposed and dealt with before it’s too late.

We live in the late hour and to choose to ignore your sin is like playing roulette! The gun is loaded and the hammer is cocked and it’s your turn.

Why choose a personal spiritual suicide over un-confessed sin that will destroy you and others? Kill the pride humble your self and commit your ways unto the Lord.

Causes bondage

Proverbs 5:22 ¶ His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

Causes death

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Peter 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

(Matthew 25:1-13) "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

{2} And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

{3} They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

{4} But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

{5} While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

{6} And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

{7} Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

{8} And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

{9} But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

{10} And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

{11} Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. {12} But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

{13} Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
