COVID-19 World Seems 'Perfectly Suited for the Antichrist to Come': John MacArthur
Pastor and author John MacArthur told his congregation on Sunday that today’s world – with a virus spreading through every country and governments ordering citizens to stay home – seems “perfectly suited for the Antichrist to come.’
MacArthur, the pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, Calif., and a popular author and radio pastor, made the comments during a Sunday evening service in which he discussed COVID-19, government restrictions and Scripture.
The world’s governments, MacArthur said, “have done something that's never been done in human history.” That is, they have made the issue and the response “global,” he asserted.
“Now we are a global world. And that is a setup that we've been waiting for through redemptive history since the Lord promised that there would come, in the future, an Antichrist who would have a global government,” he noted....

I definitely agree about the more questions than answers! I personally think too many obsess to much over this topic. I really hate both the scammy profiteering by “experts” hawking their latest speculative book and the attitude that any inconveniences to living the Christian Life in the West are surefire “signs of the times” and mean Christ’s return is imminent- but decades of hardcore Christian Persecution throughout history and in other parts of the world somehow don’t “count”.

Thanks for the additional information concerning the different millennial positions. That is one area that I studied and ended up with more questions than answers. I am a pre-millennialist, but can’t defend my position very well. The only end-times position that I take a stand on is I am a post-tribulationist and I also will argue that the Vatican is the great whore in Rev. Over the years I have convinced no one that I am right when they disagree. The areas you noted are among the most divisive areas in scripture. The biggest difficulty is what is literal and what is figurative; IOW what is our hermeneutic. I also am not a big fan of using the so-called expert’s opinions, just because they are Dr. so and so.

Most of the positions you posted are variations of Dispensational Pre-Millennialism. There is also Historical Pre-Millennialism, Amillennialism, and Post-Millennialism.👍🏻
He's certainly revealing himself more as he takes his place on the stage of the world. (2 Thess 2:3) even admitting himself 'he is the devil'.. in 2018. WCF 25:5 states, “There is no other head of the church but the Lord Jesus Christ: nor can the Pope of Rome in any sense be the head thereof; but is that antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the church against Christ, and all that is called God.” Why don't evangelical Protestant churches believe and teach this anymore? Jesuit invented counter Reformation preterist and futurist views on Antichrist are deceptive and designed for a reason. Frank, I see I didn't post the answer to the question which you asked for. The answer is righteousness.
Its either HIS which He promised to write on hearts (Jer31:33) or the Isaiah 55 reference which describes the labor which satisfies not. Those that rely on their labor are the antithesis of being in Christ.
They would be antiChrist like those spoken of here by The apostle John.
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there *many antichrists*; whereby we know that it is the last time.
I would urge you to study Revelation with an emphadis on Israel about who the whore really is. It is not the catholic church I promise. Tradition has taught that, not the Bible.
The Pope is the Antichrist, he is the head of the Bloody Roman catholic church, the great whore of the book of Revelation, mystery Babylon the great who made war and drunk the blood of the saints the Protestants.
Interesting article. Instead of arguing about the tribulation we should be getting the gospel out to the lost and hopeless that we encounter. We can't thwart what is going on because then we are trying to change God's plan. This world is moving at warp speed and not heading in a good direction. All the more reason to share the gospel.
Sorry for the confusion and I'm not trying to debate you so don't feel obligated to respond. All I asked was a question and a place to look that discusses buying and selling like the Revelation. I didn't say anything about doing way with a mark either, so I'm not sure where that thought comes from.
Seems reasonable to me that understanding What the currency in God's economy is would be instrumental in coming to an understanding.
In rev. 1:9 john says ' your brother in tribulation'. This is ongoing, from Christ's first coming until his second. If you believe the above verses somehow do away with mark of the beast and the ability to buy and sell during the tribulation period then IMO you have a bad hermeneutic.
As you know, my end-time thoughts are different than yours, so I don't understand your point?
