MacArthur Plans to Defy Recent Court Ruling this Sunday ‘We’re going to have Church’
“We’re going to have Church on Sunday. There is absolutely no reason not to have church as far as safety goes. A statistic- one in 100th of 1 percent of Californians have COVID. That’s the number. And yet no one in the entire state of California is allowed to go inside a church. Doesn’t make sense. Plus we’re under the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ and he says have church, and we’re gonna have it.

Even if reinfection possibility is real, rather than the more likelihood of another something being made up as we go along, people can get flu more than once. So what is the big deal about reinfection? Oh I almost forgot, we must be made to stay afraid.

This lockdown hoax will end when the masses finally get their fill-Dr. Anthony Fauci just spilled the beans: contrary to the implicit promise numerous politicians made that COVID-19 restrictions would only last “until there’s an effective vaccine,” Fauci says the arrival of a vaccine won’t mean life will return to normal, perhaps for more than a year.Aside from Fauci being a reliable harbinger for politicians moving the COVID-19 goal posts, we have three very good reasons to doubt the understanding promoted by politicians so far about returning to normal when a vaccine is deployed: 1) politicians already moved the goalposts far away from “flatten the curve” and “15 days to slow the spread” and thus can’t be trusted 2) they’ve ignored their promise of reopening if effective treatments were found, and 3) the newly discovered phenomenon of COVID-19 reinfection gives panic-pushers an excuse to keep lockdown measures until some new target of vaccine efficacy or compliance is met. -

Considering snake handling isn't a Christian thing to do in the first place, one gets curious about who this writer is. The religious news service writer is, as you point out, Mark Silk. He happens to be professor of religion in public life at Trinity College, Hartford.
Trinity College, private, coeducational institution of higher learning in Hartford, Conn., U.S.It is a nonsectarian liberal arts college that has a historical affiliation with the Episcopal church.

Now that it's a bit more clear where he comes from, it doesn't look like there is any reason to be surprised at what he wrote, does it? Making stuff up is what the left does, even the religious left, when there is a point to invent.

While I'm in somewhat agreement with this writer, I certainly hope that he won't they proved right, buy some other John's congregation catching covid-19 because of what is foolish behavior. I'd rather see the appearance that John is correct on this particular instance, then anyone coming down with this disease ❗ 👎

I'm rather surprised that an Religious News Service writer was somewhat sarcastic about John MacArthur's opinion on the Coronavirus. He said in part,

Mark Silk wrote:
Thus, "when any government official issues orders regulating worship (such as bans on singing, caps on attendance, or prohibitions against gatherings and services), he steps outside the legitimate bounds of his God-ordained authority as a civic official."

Presumably Grace Community Church would take the position that the government also has no business prohibiting snake-handling on the part of Christians who believe in that practice. Ritual cannibalism would be a bridge too far, I guess, but only because the obligation of civic authorities not to interfere extends only to Christianity....

I praise the Lord for dear folks like Pastor John MacArthur, Dr Jack Trieber, Pastor McCoy and many others who have stood firm for their churches to meet together and to preach the Gospel, despite the decrees (not laws, because they have not been passed by the local parliamentary body, the California Congress), issued by their tyrannical Governor. Here, there is really no one in the churches who have that same spirit, and if course, most churches accept universal mask wearing, severe social distancing, closing down of most activities, and of course most will (perhaps not too happily) accept the Bill Gates style aborted babies DNA-changing, and probably marker identity chip vaccine to come. Though the PM has often taken a more cautious line, he id pushed by Matt Hancock his Health Minister and the SAGE epidemiologists to go further with more and more restrictions. The latest edict is the “Rule of Six”, no time limit given for this, which bans all social meetings, inside or outside of more than 6 people. This effectively bans all church social activities, though services are now permitted under very severe restrictions.

One day the antichrist will control the entire world and all the nations of the world, including ours, will worship him. This is of course better done with socialism and communism. Citizens of these types of countries have little or no say in their governments.

This pandemic has given me some insight in how easy this takeover will be. The authorities set rules and even if those rules are against God’s commands, they are widely accepted by His children. When there is a conflict, we should always obey God and not man.

We need to understand, this lockdown is not about a 'virus', it's about a global reset. They want to take away our freedom, destroy our ecomony, then 'reset' everything to fall under socialism/communism. It's a system of the beast. 'Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.' This is what Jim Lincoln pushes- the Satanic rule over the entire earth.

The forthcoming 'vaccine' could very well be the mark of the beast, you refuse, you won't be allowed to 'buy or sell' - for a 'virus' that has a 99% recovery rate...

MacArthur didn't back off.

LA county has shown great forbearance to the petulant MacArthur.

Gather from North Carolina, they can gather outside! Like they often did a New Testament times❗👍

A church is a local, visible assembly of baptized believers. Simply watching live webcasts is not assembling together and therefore is disobeying a much needed and much neglected and misunderstood, yet clear command in Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

When this pastor is arrested, and he may be, when will American Christians realize that “ safety” or “ peace” is Not worth setting aside your constitutional rights as an American citizens. The denomination I belong too , SBC, has taken on hook line and millstone the social justice , critical race theory along with metoo# and LBGQT genetic prepositions that is an abandonment of biblical principles that Al Mohler wrought.

For what purpose should they have it outdoors or online? With no hospitalizations or deaths at Grace Community, why should anyone conclude it’s dangerous to be indoors there? Oh I forgot, the lack of danger would become evident, and that isn’t in the script.
