Pope abolishes ‘pontifical secret’ in clergy sex abuse cases
Pope Francis abolished the “pontifical secret” used in clergy sexual abuse cases Tuesday, responding to mounting criticism that the high degree of confidentiality has been used to protect pedophiles, silence victims and prevent police from investigating crimes.
“The carnival of obscurity is over,” declared Juan Carlos Cruz, a prominent Chilean survivor of clergy abuse and advocate for victims.
In a new law, Francis decreed that information in abuse cases must be protected by church leaders to ensure its “security, integrity and confidentiality.” But he said “pontifical secret,” the highest form of confidentiality in the church, no longer applies to abuse-related accusations, trials and decisions under the Catholic Church’s canon law....

Why would you assume God was not praised for the good news you posted just because some didn't do it in text?

Praise God!!!
I just saw this, sister, and my heart rejoices with you. I am reminded of the parable of the workers who the Lord called in the eleventh hour, yet they received the same reward as those who were called early on. Praise God for His marvelous mercy! So happy for you and your father. We will be praying for him.

Count me in. Praise God for such wonderful news.
Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

When God makes his people more gracious it is surely a good thing, and enhances the glorious gospel of God's grace. I'm all in favour of speech with grace, because 'by grace I am what I am'.
John-I so appreciate the kind comment. Would like to take this opportunity to apologize for some of my previous remarks to you. Please forgive me, as I have also forgiven you and others for our ungracious and rude banter that is so unbecoming children of GOD. By His grace, I hope to respond in a more gracious fashion. Every blessing, brother.

The papal antichrist seems to by trying to win friends and influence gullible people.
I thought it was Vatican policy to assert that a little bit of deception is quite acceptable to the peasants when ruling their religious convictions?
2John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist."
1John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."
I mean ...... "Papal infallibility is a dogma of the Catholic Church that states that, in virtue of the promise of Jesus to Peter, the Pope is preserved from the possibility of error "when, in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, he defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church."[1] Infallibility is, according to the New Catholic Encyclopedia, "more than a simple, de facto absence of error. It is a positive perfection, ruling out the possibility of error" (Wiki)

Their article is quite good, and one wonders just how much Franny really wanted to implement this idea? Sexual abuse is such a horrendous scandal that he was forced to do something on this order. How much individual bishops will carry it out it's another question?
