The Democrat-controlled House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday voted to adopt the Trump impeachment report authored by Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).The 13-9 vote in favor of adopting the report means the document will be sent to the Judiciary Committee, which has its first formal impeachment hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
Upon concluding its proceedings, the Judiciary Committee, headed by Representative Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), will vote on whether or not to approve articles of impeachment against President Trump. If approved, the articles would go to the full House for a vote.
Curiously, the report did not mention “bribery,” an allegation against the president that has frequently been thrown around by Democratic leaders such as Schiff and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). ...
