NYT Admits Obama Admin Spied on Trump Campaign
Following months of angry claims by journalists and Democratic operatives that the Obama administration never spied on Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, The New York Times admitted Thursday that multiple overseas intelligence assets were deployed against associates of the Republican nominee. It is not the first time the Times has revealed widespread spying operations against the campaign.

In addition to noting that long-time informant Stefan Halper was tasked with collecting intelligence on the Trump campaign, the Times story details how a woman was sent overseas under a fake name and occupation to oversee the spy operation. The woman’s real name is not mentioned in the article, though the Times says she went by “Azra Turk” and has a relationship with an unidentified federal intelligence agency.

Halper was handpicked by a seasoned FBI counterintelligence agent out of the New York ...

You would do well to stop listening to the liberal spin on the news Charles. We already have s poster here deceived by them

Do the research on Joe Biden misusing his position and strong arm tactic to stop a criminal investigation into his son’s laundering money scheme in the Ukraine. It’s an egregious abuse of his position and power backed by the corrupt Obama administration.

A campaign that reaches out to enemies of our nation for help in defeating the competition in a political election should worry every one. If the intelligence community "spied" on them, then I feel safer already because left to their own devices the Trump campaign would give out all our national secrets.

If the Obama administration use of the DOJ to break the law and plant spies in the opposition parties campaign, isn't blaming them for their actions blaming the lawless?

This is a precedent of lawlessness set for the return of Christ. Lawlessness abounds in this administration. And religious hypocrites are lining up with the government to bring everyone into submission or into an arena of dying for the cause of Christ.
You have something backwards. If this administration is most guilty of something, it is in the revealing of the depth of corruption and lawlessness that had already infiltrated the government up to the revelation of it. Whatever one thinks of Trump, his election was a reaction to that increasing lawlessness.

There is a distinct difference between an undercover law enforcement investigation and spying, and there are laws and regulations in place to protect "Americans" from spying by their own government. The right to privacy is an important right derived from the Constitution, and while it has been misused to legalize abortion, every American (loose term) has the right to not be spied upon as a violation of privacy except under certain, very narrow exceptions. What occurred here seems to not be an undercover law enforcement operation but the use of the US National Intelligence Community to gather intelligence on American citizens engaged in legal campaigning for public office. If this does not smack of Nazi Germany and the use of the secret police to silence opposition, I'm not sure what does. Nixon was thoroughly trounced for doing similar. How the Obama Administration has escaped scrutiny is beyond me.

1John 3:8 "the Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil."
The word "destroy" = lit., to loose, to unbind, to unravel, to dissolve. Hence, Satan's works are conceived as chains that bind us, which Jesus now breaks. His works have a coherence, an inter-connectedness, being somehow intertwined, as if a tapestry of sorts. Jesus came to undo and dissolve the enemy's efforts. The coming of Jesus "was concerned with unpicking the net of evil in which the devil has always attempted to trap human beings" (Smalley, 170).

What are Satan's "works"?

· Morally, he entices to sin.

· Physically, he inflicts disease (and death).

· Intellectually, he seduces into error.

· Socially, he provokes hatred and chaos.

· Politically and Economically, he produces injustice and oppression.

· Spiritually, he blinds the minds of unbelievers lest they believe the gospel."

Even the NYT, Washington Post, CNN, MSNB, etc. have moments in which they are truthful. We don't put trust in them but acknowledge the truth told.

In the New Testament some the most truthful statements about our Lord came from demons and when Satan quoted Scripture what he quoted was truthful but that didn't make him trustworthy

It is good to see the NY Times reporting this, but I wonder how many other mainstream media agencies will report it.
PBS's program "Frontline" could do a whole study on what the 'deep state' did to block Trump before his election, and what they have done to block his agenda since then.

We planted people in the Trump campaign to do surveillance and report back to us. Please don’t call that spying even though the dictionary defines it as such

Watergate 2.0.

The US Intelligence Community is not an entity for use against domestic targets with very few exceptions. Severe abuse of power by the Democrats and former President Obama. Any talk from any of them regarding the rule of law is phoney. They believe in power, not truth or what is right.

Oh my goodness!

Who would have thought that the honest, conscientious, virtuous, sincere and trustworthy New York Times journalists would ever stoop to such things???

What is the world coming too?

Next I suppose that someone will suggest that the ethical Democrats are not a virtuous party of complete honesty and veracity too???
🤷‍♂️

The end is definitely nigh!!

Just wait, Barry will be back in the Big Chair some day, some way, some how. Either through his wife or a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress gets rid of the POTUS two term limit. Or maybe the young socialist Climate Change sect will come to power in the U.N. and put him in the chair of the new position of World Leader with the mantra of "change you can believe in." Then he can renew and ramp up his spy campaign worldwide using not only the U.S. agencies of the FBI and the CIA but also expand to use the KGB, the Chinese MSS (Ministry of State Security, and even Interpol.
