11 Christian Children Arrested in Violent Raid as China Increases Persecution
Last weekend, nearly 50 members of the Early Rain Covenant Church, including 11 children, were arrested in the city of Chengdu. Public security bureau agents closed the church last December and arrested Pastor Wahng-Yee and 160 Christians. This time, the church reports at least two of its members were "violently beaten."

Early Rain Covenant Church posted this update on Facebook:

"By 8:00 p.m. last night, 44 members had been arrested during the '2/24' Sabbath raids. Of those arrested, 11 were children. The youngest to be detained and taken to the police station was a little more than two months old. Tang Chunliang and his wife were hit in the face by a plainclothes police officer at the police station... Some, including children, did not eat anything. Some were not released until 2:00 a.m. Tired children slept on ice-cold tables and floors. Others were not released until 6:00 a.m."

All of us have an inherent bias. As Westerners, we see things based on the background that we bring. As Christians, this gets mixed with the opening of our eyes by the Holy Spirit. So for any missionary to show up on the field without a bias would be impossible.

It is true that every church and every individual believer is responsible to share the gifts the Lord has given them. But the biggest thing, the largest gift, is Jesus. And He is the King of a Kingdom not of this world. But even membership in that Kingdom is too much for the CCP.

What you have passed is what I was told by someone who had been there but my last conversation was several years ago. Things have obviously changed since then. The CCP is very smart and knows to pick the fruit when it is ripe. They are waiting for the other churches to ripen...

Finally, parents, particularly fathers, are responsible for the raising of their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. But Jesus also said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me." We meet corporately with the Lord, and here in some churches, the concept of family worship is very important. Children came to the Temple in Jesus' day. Why should they not come before Him now?

I think the most common question "does your mission field has insert developed western thing "

and of course the truth is no, but what prosperity the church lacks in china, is met with some genuine blessing from God, such as more people willing to sacrifice for a good cause. I got my entire mouth of 12 teeth fixed for cheap by a christian dentist.

Every church is held accountable to the grace they receive from God. The chinese church is accountable for the blessings it receives, but so is your church. I would encourage anyone with a burden for china to talk with someone who was there and they will comfirm much of what I say.

It is in Canada, at the moment. With our Prime Minster, who knows what's next. He did say once that Christianity is the worst part of Canada, so it could be any time now when homeschooling and Christianity is outlawed.

As far as children ministry goes, officially you can't bring your kids to church. But from talking with some believers, they take this as God's will to take Responcibility for their kids in their home. Too many people use the church as a babysitting tool, while never attending or contributing much to the church.

My personal experience is no. You can find a Christian bible study in almost every community. There are registered Churches both under the 3 self church movement and independent.

The Seven day Adventist also own their own churches with many members.

I help out a bible school, there are also a few seminaries.

A good resource I enjoy is called China Source:

Their journals are detailed with interviews from real Chinese people, as well as missionaries.

China isn’t cracking down throughout the whole country? Isn’t shutting down Christians schools and other kid programs?

Because we are supposed to follow the law of the land, if you have 3000+ people meeting in an apartment, you are supposed to register. Size matters, this is not a gospel issue, unless you can prove me wrong.

The leaders of this church, and this church alone sought trouble, found trouble, hence the beatings. They are not known as peacemakers, just google their name, they are known for going against the government. On the other hand, many other faithful churches are known for being peacemakers, shining brightly. All your info comes from one place: China Aid, Bob Fu, ministry for human rights issues, to establish democracy in communist lands. This is not what Christians are called to do.

"church members who have experienced many setbacks throughout the ‘12/9’ persecution still came together full of joy to worship God during his Sabbath."- from their fb post

They are sabbitarians because reformed Christians

In another update there was reference made to the Heidelberg Catechism

1. Lord's Day
Question 1. What is thy only comfort in life and death?

Answer: That I with body and soul, both in life and death, am not my own, but belong unto my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ; who, with his precious blood, has fully satisfied for all my sins, and delivered me from all the power of the devil; and so preserves me that without the will of my heavenly Father, not a hair can fall from my head; yea, that all things must be subservient to my salvation, and therefore, by his Holy Spirit, He also assures me of eternal life, and makes me sincerely willing and ready, henceforth, to live unto him.

It is the cause of suffering that qualifies a faithful witness. Rev 17:12-14 M.Henry's CC " But it is well known that by crafty and politic management, with all kinds of deceit of unrighteousness, papal Rome has obtained and kept her rule over kings and nations."

The papal visit preceded ERCC's increased persecution.

Are they Servants of Christ?- I speak as if insane-I more so;in far more laborers, and far more imprisonments, beating times without number often in danger of death. Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was Shipwrecked, a night and a day I spent in the Deep. I've been on frequent Journeys, and dangers from Rivers, Danger from robbers, Danger from my Countryman dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangerous on the sea, dangerous among false brethren; I've been in labor and hardship, through my sleepless nights, and hunger and thirst, often without food in cold and exposure.

"...That oversight has led a majority of Christians to move toward underground worship. The government response has been brutal, resulting in church burning, seized property, hundreds of arrests and confiscated Bibles."

President Jinping is directly responsible for this, because he feels a Christian insurgency will threaten the Chinese government. How long before we, bible believing Christians come under real threat, and considered a subversive, divisive, hateful bunch, and enemies of all that is "good and right" in the US? We're under attack already, as all things God are quickly becoming foolishness, sin is nonsense, God's Word is hate speech, and Christians are actively being forced into the same closets that the sodomites crawled out from just a few short years ago. How the times have changed, and at lightening speed.

I can't believe they beat some of these people, who I'm fairly certain, didn't ask for it. Also, they arrest eleven children, with one of them being a mere infant, at 2mos old? Ridiculous.

Say what we will about the current state of this nation, but around the world is where people are experiencing true persecution, as they are beaten, raped, tortured, arrested, and murdered, and why? Because they believe in the Living God.
