London street preacher arrested in viral video: 'Don't take my Bible!'
A street preacher outside a London subway station was arrested in a viral video for "breach of peace," "disturbing people's days," and accused of racism and "Islamophobia," according to officers caught on camera and a bystander.

"A Christian preacher this afternoon was arrested at Southgate station London N14 for preaching about Jesus," Eye on Antisemitism, a UK-based group that reports Anti-semitic incidents, wrote on Twitter about an incident that occurred Saturday.

This link also includes a few messages on the empty tomb but Albert N Martin's series on the passion of Christ (21 messages) is something I found very edifying.

Hugh Martin's book The Shadow of Calvary is also excellent

John Newton; I amn't what I ought to be, I am not what I want to be, I am not what I hope to be in another world; but still I am not what I once used to be, and by the grace of God I am what I am.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all — yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

I’m with ya, Chris. My wife and I try to avoid saying that we have to go to work. Instead we say that we “get” to go to work. We’re blessed far, far beyond what we deserve. In fact, we deserve to be in hell.

Thanks, Dr Tim...I appreciate your response. I think along the same lines when life isn't going perfect, or I just find myself complaining about this or that. I try to keep in mind all that Christ chose to endure; the humiliation, the suffering, and the pain, etc., and my worst day pales in comparison. I'm spoiled...we're all spoiled, and few of us, if any, have any idea what true suffering is.

Just this morning, I had to be up and out a little after 5AM, and working shortly after. I was complaining in my mind while brushing my teeth, when I began to consider what real suffering is. I stood there and thought about those around the world who were starving at that moment, homeless and cold, were experiencing unbearable pain, or unspeakable sadness. I thought about the missing kids who are hoping to be rescued, the abducted children who are being held as s*x slaves around the world, the innocents who are rotting in cold, dank prisons, and those being tortured, raped, and/or, murdered, while I was brushing my teeth. I thought about what real suffering is, how many were suffering at that very moment, and realized that having to start working so early, and considering that suffering, was beyond pathetic. I have no idea what true suffering is...

Quiet Christian! Thanks for your thoughts. As usual they have edified me. IMO, the below represents the greatest suffering that Christ endured. I’m sure there are different ways of looking at the below verses, but this is the way I think. Luke shows the agony that an absolute perfect individual would have if he knew that he was going to have the sins of mankind put on Him. None of us will ever be able to understand that since we are in fact sinners. Matthew says that in that situation His Father became His God and He couldn't lessen the agony He was experiencing. He indeed paid for our sins.

Luke 22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Just a thought in response to Frank's excellent comment (really appreciate all the others too) --

It is absolutely fascinating to me that the Lord Jesus made and sustains all things, including those who rail against His name and rule, for Himself (Colossians 1 & Hebrews 1:1-3). Which includes myself if left to myself, but He alone has redeemed me. So it wasn't just a one time thing including His crucification on our behalf. It is everything every minute since Creation.

Great thoughts, Christopher. Often when I am tempted to complain of being tired or not feeling well, I am rebuked by the thought of the unspeakable weariness and discomfort Jesus suffered on my behalf.

"Christ could have destroyed the entire world with just a thought and look what he allowed to happen to Him for our sakes."

Thanks Frank. I think people sometimes tend to consider what Christ endured on the cross itself, like the excruciating pain as each nail was pounded in, the painful torture of being hoisted up, and then in addition to that pain, gasping for breath, etc. I keep in mind all that He probably had to endure leading up to that day, as well...being whipped, beaten, spat upon, and who knows what else, physically. Then there was the intense emotional turmoil, knowing what was waiting for Him, and also being teased, mocked, laughed at, ridiculed, and treated as if He were some horrible, murderous monster that was finally caught.

I consider all of these things, and I can't help but to be in awe that the God; The Creator of all that is, was, and will ever be; is so humble. I also can't comprehend that sort of unadulterated love; pure love. We tortured Him, beat Him, mocked Him, laughed at Him, and marked Him for death, yet He wasn't angered or filled with vengeance...He was saddened, asked that we be forgiven, and allowed us to take His life, so that we could have life.

Adriel; You are making some good points as I have been involved with street ministries, abortion ministries, for a decent amount of time now. & yes many people in church may frawn upon it. As I have seen from my own experience it has been out of ignorance & lumping others, all into one melting pot. As there is Pelagius street preachers, out on YouTube world, who preach another Jesus through another gospel message. That others like to lump solid Biblical Orthodox Christians into the same melting pot.

But praise God, that He uses this avenue of approach, in bringing the church to the streets. By seeking & saving the lost, that salvation comes by the Lord removing the spiritual barriers in ones life. To enable them to state the sweet nectar of life changing repentance in & through Christ Alone amen!

A good resource to equip ones-self with; https://adflegal.blob.core.windows.net/web-content-dev/docs/default-source/documents/resources/campaign-resources/religious-freedom/public-square/open-air-rights-_new1_.pdf?sfvrsn=16

""I appreciate that, but nobody wants to listen to that," the officer said. "They want you to go away."
Two officers then handcuffed the man as he protested: "No, no, no. Don't take my Bible!""

Very sweeping statement, "nobody wants to listen" I doubt it is entirely true.
Street preaching has been going on in Nations for centuries including Britain.
EVEN in Britain we have 'Freedom of Speech.'

But now that sodomite behaviour has been legalized by a morally corrupt minority; Christian speech is not free???

"Some animals are more equal than others"???
{Animal Farm: G.Orwell}

"Street preaching is as old as the Bible itself. Street preaching has never been popular either inside or outside the church. Open-air preaching and street evangelism has never been culturally relevant or socially acceptable. But street preaching is biblical." https://carm.org/street-preaching

Christ's Command:-
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

The Hypocrisy that takes place in London that pertains to this news article.

Pro 21:1-2 The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; as the rivers of water, He turneth it whithersoever He will. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord pondereth the hearts.

For their is no King but Christ Alone, for their is absolutely zero means of salvation outside of Christ Alone amen.

Rom 1:16-17 For I amn’t ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it’s the power of God unto salvation to every one who believeth, to the Jew first & also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “The just shall live by faith.”

Good comment Chris. I agree fully with everything you said. Let me also add that Christianity if properly practiced is a religion of peace and we are prompted to love our enemies, even turning the other cheek to them and going the extra mile. Christ could have destroyed the entire world with just a thought and look what he allowed to happen to Him for our sakes. But when laws conflict with our faith, then the following is always true.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

God's Word has become hate speech. All anyone needs to do is to read straight from scripture; God's Words only, while using no words of our own, and the one doing nothing but reading straight from scripture, is a hate-filled, divisive bigot, who is causing unrest, aggitation, and emotional trauma. The mere mention of specific sins have been targeted as hate speech, and anything else that may offend ones lifestyle. The sodomites have steamrolled over this entire nation, as well as others, have changed the fabric of our society, and they're not done yet. They've only just begun.

Up my way, in Hartford, CT, there are two 16yr old, trans high school track athletes...two boys who say they are girls, so they are on the girls track team. Because they're boys, stronger and faster, they are unbeatable, and are crushing every girls track record. The girls know they can't beat them in any competition, and the trans boys are stealing away college scholarships. The parents say, "Our girls have every right to be on the girls track team, because they are girls" The trans boys, when asked about the fairness respond, "Well, the other girls should just try to run faster"

What an interesting time to be alive in to be witnesses to the nonsense going on, as the end of days approach.
