African-American teacher faces three-year suspension for calling homosexuality a sin

A high school teacher was suspended for three years for sharing her views of homosexuality on a personal Facebook page.

Jenye “Viki” Knox served Union High School since 2000 as a teacher and faculty adviser for the students’ Bible study group. She began teaching handicapped students 28 years ago.

An ordained minister, Knox communicated her opinion openly on social media. In 2011, she criticized an LGBTQIA+ promotion featured in the school’s display glass. “Why parade your unnatural immoral behaviors before the rest of us?” Knox posted. ...

I agree with you Chris G P.

➡Like I said below, we don't find women pastors in the Bible.

▶Yes, she did take a stand, as it was the right thing to do.
▶Unfortunately, a majority of Christians would fold on that issue if confronted.

▶The only beef I have as well as most people on here is with the pastoral role she has.

I agree that this lady should not be a pastor, as this is an office reserved in scripture for men only. I also understand that this is common in Pentecostal churches, and particularly those in the black community.

However, this lady had made a stand in her place of work which should be honoured, which cannot be said of many very correct evangelical Christians from more traditional churches that might well equivocate and compromise a little, or keep silent on the LGBT question.

Thanks for your concurrence! From reading some of the below posts, it would appear there are some who don't understand this concept. It is evangelical feminism's dummying down of the gospel.
Your bone is a big bone IMO.
"Christian" feminism has done much damage to the Gospel and the church for that matter. It is a big bone, when you see these women put their dear children in gov't run daycares in order to do "God's work". It foolishness personified! Nothing is more feminine than a woman marrying and taking care of her husband and children. This is real womanhood. Not being a pastor. When a so called Christian woman leaves her family to themselves, to fend for themselves, everyone suffers. Not just now, but the effects are far-reaching.

So yes, it is a major bone for me too.

@ My Own 2 cents: Quite welcome. We must constantly look for opportunities to build each other up and strengthen one another. We need this now more than ever. Blessings in Christ's love!

Absolutely correct Frank. Her testimony suffers because of her lack of submission to her husband and to the Bible.

This lady has no Christian foundation in that she is an ordained minister. Most black churches do this and years ago the black communities were generally understood to be matriarchal, so it was sort of natural. Anyway, this lady will get no heavenly blessing for taking this stand.
1 Ti. 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Titus 2:5 [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.

Pray for our persecuted brethren everywhere.

May God strengthen her inwardly in spirit and assure her that she is blessed. May he exalt her testimony among the hearers and convicted them as well.

Notice the picture of the woman, Tim? Unless they did a very poor job of photographing she looks Black to me. The article said she was Afro-American, which means I assume she isn't Egyptian, Arab, or a White from South Africa! The article made a big point that she was Black. I just made a big point that it wasn't untypical and in fact perhaps less unusual for conservative Blacks than it is for Whites to be anti-queer.

Yes, being a pastorette isn't Biblical

Speaking of teachers, students, and high school...yet another school shooting in South Florida by a former student. What a shame. The principal had said multiple fatalities. I can't imagine all of the frantic parents, not knowing the status of many of their children.
Very tragic. A disease being spread globally by social media. Twenty five such instances since 1999..... Columbine.

Your bone to pick is correct.
According to the Bible, their is no such thing as "women pastors".
It says,
"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;"
1 Timothy 3:2
I don't think Paul was referring to lesbians!!! 😲
