Bannon: Catholic Church has "economic interest" in "unlimited illegal immigration"

In his first extensive interview since leaving the Trump administration, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is speaking out about President Trump's decision to end the DACA program. The Obama-era policy protects nearly 800,000 undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children from deportation.

Bannon spoke to Charlie Rose in an interview that will air this Sunday, Sept. 10, on "60 Minutes."

Steve Bannon: Look, what he did on DACA the other day. Okay, I don't agree with that DACA decision, but I understand how he struggled with it, I understand how he's giving the possibility of a legislative thing. And he said even last night in a tweet – even in a tweet, he would rethink it. Trust me, the guys in the far right, the guys on the conservative side are not happy with this. ...

...trying to suppress Bannon and others on the right, liberals are likely making their ideas seem more potent. Did the efforts of communist countries to muzzle capitalist ideas work?

Liberals need to be reminded of the origins of their ideology. In 1859, when governments around the world were still deeply repressive — banning books, censoring commentary and throwing people in jail for their beliefs — John Stuart Mill explained in his seminal work, “On Liberty,” that protection against governments was not enough: “There needs protection also against the tyranny of the prevailing opinion and feeling; against the tendency of society to impose . . . its own ideas and practices . . . on those who dissent from them.” This classic defense of free speech, which Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes later called the “freedom for the thought that we hate,” is under pressure in the United States — and from the left....

...Over the past year, Bannon has held talks with right-wing groups across the continent from Nigel Farage and members of Marine Le Pen’s Front National (recently renamed Rassemblement National) in the West, to Hungary’s Viktor Orban and the Polish populists in the East.

He envisions a right-wing “supergroup” within the European Parliament that could attract as many as a third of the lawmakers after next May’s Europe-wide elections. A united populist bloc of that size would have the ability to seriously disrupt parliamentary proceedings, potentially granting Bannon huge power within the populist movement
After being forced out of the White House following internal wranglings that would later surface in the book Fire and Fury, Bannon is now reveling in the opportunity to plot his new European empire. “I'd rather reign in hell, than serve in heaven,” he said, paraphrasing John Milton’s Satan in Paradise Lost....

Former Clinton Aide: Trump Should Be Ashamed For Accomplishing So Little With A GOP Congress

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2018/01/03/former-clinton-aide-trump-should-be-ashamed-for-accomplishing-so-little-with-a-gop-congress-n242766

Other than
Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court and passing the most extensive tax reform in 30 years. He also said it would benefit the wealthy. First, Gorsuch is a lifetime appointment. It’s not a small thing to get one your guys seated on the high court. Second, it was a tax bill that benefitted the middle class. CBS News found three families from different economic backgrounds and they all benefit. From the single mom renting a house in North Carolina to the family of three that just opened a small business in California, the lowering of the rates and the increase of the child tax credit is going to yield savings. Folks, even Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a democratic socialist, said the middle class will get a tax cut, but it’s still bad because this bill didn’t go far enough. The tax bill was a cornerstone of President Trump’s economic agenda. It’s not a small thing.

Media opposition vs support ?

Bannon had some complaints about other people besides the Pope.
Trump's America wrote:
The chance that Don Jr did not walk these jumos up to his father's office on the twenty-sixth floor is zero."

That's a quote from Donald Trump's former chief strategist Steve Bannon in an excerpt from an explosive new book.

Any serious claims about treason aside, what exactly is a "jumo"?

The context of the rest of the quote makes it clear Mr Bannon was talking about Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, who was at Trump Tower for a meeting with Donald Trump Jr, Jared Kushner and campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

But still... why jumo?...

I assume this is a thread that you want me to make a reply on? Media bias doesn't have that liberal of slant on things -- but let's take one that does, Snopes. It still gives quite accurate assessments of non liberal articles Etc. Where it falls down most obviously is when they try to criticize a Liberal site. It is almost pathetically amusing-- but at least they do give it a try. This is not the case for wnd or BreitBart for that matter.

Jim, we have already shown that the Media Bias /Fact Check has a liberal bias and therefore their opinion of others is colored by their liberal mindset. Not reliable.

Notes: Breitbart News Network is a politically conservative American news and opinion website founded in 2007 by conservative commentator and entrepreneur Andrew Breitbart (1969–2012). It also has a daily radio program, Breitbart News Daily. The content ranges from extreme right wing bias to conspiracy to racism (“Then you see President Barack Hussein Obama waving the line-cutters forward. He’s on their side. In fact, isn’t he a line-cutter too? How did this fatherless black guy pay for Harvard?”). Breitbart has been accused of publishing fake news for the purpose of a political agenda. (7/18/2016)....

Looks like Trump and Hitlery agree http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/09/08/flashback-clip-shows-clinton-saying-illegal-immigrant-children-should-be-sent-back.html
But just a few years ago, in an interview that has resurfaced online, Clinton called for sending back illegal immigrant children who crossed the border to “send a clear message” that such crossings won’t be tolerated by the United States.

That interview, conducted in June 2014 on CNN, has been shared online by critics as Clinton protests President Trump’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program.

“We have to send a clear message, just because your child gets across the border, that doesn't mean the child gets to stay,” Clinton said at the time. “So, we don't want to send a message that is contrary to our laws or will encourage more children to make that dangerous journey.”
Clinton argued the children should be reunited with their families.

They should be sent back,” Clinton said.

Ivan, whether you or anyone else disagrees, there's a specific reason we bother responding to him. I don't as much as I used to because it gets sickening repeating ourselves incessantly and I know how his nonsense can appear to others.
What Dave was on edge about were the shaking my head comments any time someone chose to respond and inferring that anyone who communicates with him is an idiot. You never said that straightaway, but that's the air of the comments. Also, the repetitive order to "Ignore him". You're not alone, and some side with you. That's fine, but there's obviously something we see and know that prompts us to keep poking away at him on some things.
Yes, the same old nonsense, and the same old, same old, is irritating and tiring, but what should be ignored is exactly what frustrates you and others...our choice to take him to task and correct his nonsense when we fell led to.
