U.S. swimmer Simone Manuel gives 'all glory to God'
Simone Manuel became the first African American to win an individual medal in swimming on Thursday (Aug. 11) when she won gold in the women's 100-meter freestyle, and she was quick to credit the Lord for that accomplishment.
"All I can say is all glory to God," Manuel said through tears in a post-race interview. "It's definitely been a long journey these past four years. I'm just so blessed to have a gold medal ... I'm just so blessed."

Yes, always a great thing. The mere mention of God, scripture, or daring to pray, etc., in recent years has become increasingly offensive to a world waxing worse and worse. The mere notion of God or the contents of His word have become embarassing to many and so foreign that people will actually tell you to hush up, or simply walk away, being worried that someone else may overhear and look at them funny. Forget praying over dinner, or wherever as people look at you and whisper like you're some weird alien that just landed from an alternate universe. Anyway, so yes...I always like to hear anyone mention God in a public forum, not caring ine bit what anyone else may think or the trouble it might cause them. Interesting times.
How sweet to hear that a young woman is so willing to Praise God publicaly and give HIM all the glory for giving her this gift. May Gods true people be emboldened to proclaim the glorious gospel in this way! Can't hide it under a bushel...No! This world is desperate for the light.
