What McConnell’s Surrender on Women’s Draft Shows About GOP Leadership

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has apparently given up on another battle front: Stopping America’s young women from being forced into military combat.

That isn’t exactly what he said this week when asked his views on whether women should be made to register for the draft, but it’s the logical outcome of his position. The question arose because the National Defense Authorization Act, likely to come to the Senate floor next week, contains language to draft women.

Here is what McConnell said, according to the New York Times:

First of all, I don’t anticipate going back to the draft. The professional voluntary Army has been very successful. We’re talking here about registration for Selective Service, should we ever go back to a draft. And given where we are today, with women in the military performing virtually all kinds of functions, I personally think it would be ...

McConnell says we will never have a draft anyways so let's have a draft policy that fails to honor and protect our wives and daughters. Clever cowardice. Pathetic man.

McConnell talks like he does because he's a RINO. He's a living example of why people support Trump. With luck, RINOs will become extinct.

Every nation knows by now that you can kill more people and have longer wars when you have women fighting on the front lines.

It all makes sense to limp wristed sissified men who hate America like McConnell.

I have always thought of Rick Warren as a false apostle, but didn't know he was a CFR member. Thanks for that information.

IMO, the below is a perfect example of false bridge building and compromise, but the methodology is not by accident.

From the internet of course.

Dialectics - Hegel is also known for his theories on the dialectical nature of reality. According to Hegel, history is the struggle between different dynamic concepts that claim to be accurate descriptions of reality. This leads to what has been identified as the ‘thesis/antithesis/synthesis’ model for understanding reality: A concept (thesis) necessarily brings forth an opposite concept (antithesis). A struggle then emerges between the thesis and the antithesis until a more truthful synthesis emerges. The newly developed synthesis consists of the most truthful parts of the thesis and antithesis. This newly formed synthesis becomes a thesis from which an opposing antithesis is formed. From this comes another synthesis and the process continues until the “Absolute Idea” is reached. Once the perfect “absolute idea” is reached the thesis/antithesis/synthesis process ends. Thus, history is in progress and each synthesis leads to a better state for humanity.

"A debate is a conflict which clarifies a position. A dialogue is a conversation which compromises a position."

This NDAA reeks of rotten corruption.

From Wikipedia:
On November 29, 2011, the United States Senate rejected a proposed amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 ("NDAA") that would have banned indefinite detention by the United States government of its own citizens, leading to criticism that Habeas corpus in the United States has been undermined.[14][15] ..
.violates the First and Fifth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
