Black cadets cause West Point stir with raised fists

The prestigious West Point military academy has opened an inquiry after 16 black female cadets posed for a photo with fists raised in militant style.

The pose struck by the cadets, dressed in their gray uniforms while standing on the steps of barracks in late April, is seen by some critics as an implicit show of support for the Black Lives Matter movement and thus a potential violation of a Defense Department rule against "partisan political activity."

West Point seeks to portray itself as a melting pot that brings together talented students from across the country, without regard for racial or ethnic differences, for elite training as future military leaders. ...

Unfortunately, they must see themselves by the color of their skin. How small. Racism come in many colors.

Gender confusion is also an issue on this Forum when someone, quite obviously female, tries hard to hide their gender so that they can preach to everyone!

Preach? Hiding their gender? I dont believe expressing a Biblical opinion is preaching or hiding ones gender.

All the girls in the photo are doing the same thing the clench fisted pose. They must have all agreed to set such a pose to make some kind of statement. If this does have ethnic undertones then something has gone hay-wire in their West Point training. There may be an innocent answer to this but if future military leaders or any kind of leaders are making a sign such as Black Panther salute then that is not a leadership style which America needs today. An investigation to get to the bottom of this needs to find out where it comes from and prevent it going forward in a dangerous direction. For the nation and for West Point.

I just love how, lurking in the background, someone is always ready to take any chance they can to ignore the topic, and rip into someone else. The early Church flourished under persecution from the outside... But when inside we are always fighting each other, how will the Church be able to stand under the new modern persecution?
