'The Whole Purpose' of Planned Parenthood Is to 'Eliminate Black People,' Ben Carson Says
African-American Republican 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson recently made the assertion on a Iowa conservative radio show that the "purpose" behind Margaret Sanger's founding of the abortion giant Planned Parenthood was to "eliminate black people," and also questioned whether or not President Barack Obama realizes that.

While the 63-year-old retired neurosurgeon was going in and out of reception during his phone interview with radio host Jan Mickelson on WHO Radio in Des Moines, Mickelson played a clip of an Obama speech from last year where the president defended Planned Parenthood and even said "Thank you Planned Parenthood. God bless you."

When Carson re-established cell phone connection, he was asked to comment on the president's remarks.

"You wonder if he actually knows the history of Planned Parenthood and Margaret Sanger, who was trying to eliminate black people," Carson ...

It's odd,Christopher because it's distorted and irrational.I wouldn't say it's infantile because that would be complimentary in comparison.
We've all been drilled with the excuses that you have mentioned. The truth is we do more harm to those who are of darker skin color when we try to justify their bad choices than if we would simply treat them like a non-white in the same situations. This is all about "equality" after all. Isn't that what every racist harps on?

I agree with parts, SC. When it comes to racism, it seems to me that it the racists themselves who keep the racial divide wide open and bleeding. I think that if it were not for these, then racism might be a thing of the past. There are just too many who want it kept alive and well as they preach hatred and blame every little thing on people of other colors. Can't get a job because you're too lazy to look, it's this colors fault. Drop out of school because you'd rather hang out with your gang, it's that colors fault. Get shot by a cop because you ran at him with a hunting knife, the cop only shot because he's a racist, and the examples go on and on. Racism is so infantile. We all have the same color of blood, same organs, body parts, beating heart, intelligence, etc, etc, yet because of the skins color, people hate. Very odd thing to me.

]]the Truth about Margaret Sanger
Not to be outdone by her followers, Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as "unfit," a plan she said would be the "salvation of American civilization.: And she also spike of those who were "irresponsible and reckless," among whom she included those " whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers." She further contended that "there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped." That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered "unfit" cannot be easily refuted.

While Planned Parenthood's current apologists try to place some distance between the eugenics and birth control movements, history definitively says otherwise. The eugenic theme figured prominently in the Birth Control Review, which Sanger founded in 1917. She published such articles as "Some Moral Aspects of Eugenics" (June 1920), "The Eugenic Conscience" (February 1921), "The purpose of Eugenics" (December 1924), "Birth Control and Positive Eugenics" (July 1925), "Birth Control: The True Eugenics" (August 1928), and many others.

[And sterilizing is easier than aborting...)

Any one who takes pride in color is a racist. There is absolutely no need to make mention of "black people" when it comes to taking a stand against abortion unless one is fishing for more senseless votes based on skin color.
And,US,your blue dress analogy is not comparable. All shades of babies are murdered. No one shade should be singled out.
For PP,it's all about the money.
For Carson,it's an appeal to the majority "minority".
Any candidate that continues to pride himself on his skin color is divisive.
All people shades are sinful and in desperate need of redemption.

Did you know that Sanger was actually against abortion?

"Sanger's family planning advocacy always focused on contraception, rather than abortion.[88][note 8] It was not until the mid-1960s, after Sanger's death, that the reproductive rights movement expanded its scope to include abortion rights as well as contraception.[note 9] Sanger was opposed to abortions, both because she believed that life should not be terminated after conception, and because they were dangerous for the mother in the early 20th century. In her book Woman and the New Race, she wrote: "while there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization." Thank you William for your kind words and insightful comments. If you simply look at the headline, one would fully understand why sc made the comments she did, because she is right, all lives matter,(unless you are a democratic candidate for president being booed by your liberal crowd or you are selling parts for profit, disgusting, from what was supposed to be just "fetal tissue" not humans with marketable body parts) and why would he just think that Planned Parenthood only wants to abort blacks. If you read the quote in context, then one would see it is not what the headline seems to represent. Hopefully the quotes from Sanger and Carson will dispel the misunderstanding.

Unprofitable Servant,
You are exactly right. Those criticizing Carson here are sitting as judge over his motives in making these comments. While I'm not a follower of Carson, I've never heard him say anything that would lead me to believe he is a racist. He is certainly nothing like the impostor from Kenya.

Anyone who has researched the founding of Planned Parenthood and Margaret Sanger's interest in eugenics knows full well that her primary focus was on eliminating blacks whom she considered inferior just as did Darwin. She even visited with Himmler in Nazi Germany to study their eugenics program. Sterilization was also part of her program in addition to abortion.

The fact that today Planned Parenthood has expanded its outreach to people of all races does not change the facts about its founding or the designs of its founder. She was evil and it is an evil organization and anyone who points that out should be applauded, not criticized! God Bless Ben Carson!!!

sc, Two Ben Carson quotes

My entire professional life has been devoted to saving and enhancing lives. Thus, the thought of abortion for the sake of convenience does not appeal to me. Many of us turn a blind eye to the wanton slaughter of millions of helpless human babies who are much more sophisticated than some of the other creatures, when nothing is at stake other than the convenience of one or both parents

America had no right criticizing ancient "heathen" civilizations for practicing human sacrifice because it is doing the same thing through legal abortion.

You can look up the reference in "A physicians view of the sanctity of life", if you wish. He is against abortion no matter what race it affects.

In this article, as I tried to point out, he is talking about the FOUNDING of Planned Parenthood. It WAS founded for mainly racist reasons as seen in the Margaret Sanger quote. So, his quote is NOT what you are making it out to be, but an accurate statement of an historical fact.

If you don't like him, fine. Doesn't mean you have to inaccurately portray what he is saying to be racist. Your logic would mean a person complimenting a lady for her blue dress must mean they disdain all other dress colors, an inaccurate assessment.

I agree that satan simply used Saenger to murder innocent children of all races; that was his goal for sure, not just the black race but it had to start somewhere. She was also a very radical feminist and this probably confuses her true agenda in some way. However, it seems pretty clear that she was into eugenics and she spoke out clearly on that issue. Like most wicked influential people, she spoke out of both sides of her mouth, so there is literature that strongly hinted that she thought blacks should be eliminated and statements she made that denied that.

Now here is also something that is pretty factual. In the beginning of course she had a difficult time establishing this planned parenthood concept so what she did was use black pastors to support her movement. As history shows this worked extremely well and although I believe nothing could have stopped this holocaust, I personally believe that the black race was certainly one of her targets, although not the only one.

So Ben Carson is wrong if he says or even hints that was her "sole" agenda, but I ‚Äúpersonally‚ÄĚ believe it was one of her goals and over the years it has worked.

If that was the main objective,US,then why are all other babies killed as well?
Planned parenthood doesn't spare any of them,so it is a racist perspective.
The concept of "whole purpose" suggests little else. It may appeal to the conservative people who still think that they are their skin so I'm sure that his statement was a means towards his ambitious end.

from the article

"We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population" - Margaret Sanger

sc you can't change history. He made an accurate statement. Did you read the article? He was not showing favor to one race or the other, he correctly stated that the purpose of planned parenthood was to eliminate black people.
That is not a prejudice statement by the doctor as you have implied, it is a fact of history. He was talking *see first quote* about the reason for founding planned parenthood.

yep. eugenics cousin to Darwin. Darwin thought black folks evolved first, you know, why do they teach this stuff in schools? aren't people getting tired of being told they evolved from monkeys?

s c,
The basic fact is the neither Carson or the 15 other knuckleheads will gain traction in this silly pre election season. Carson is trying to " capture" a following, and is speaking to the conservation minority within the African American community. He's like most canidates looking for a messege to hang on a potential voter. This slug fest won't end well.
I think the RNC chair needed a basic math course. If it takes 2 billion of dollars for one canidate to win the presidency, how much money is available for a viable canidate who can't be heard because some guy with a bad haircut worth 10 billion dollars is sucking all the air out of the room.

s c | Oh  Find all comments by s c Carson more interested in the darker child than other children?
If he wanted to take a stand against the murder of babies he could do so without appealing to a particular sect of society...that is,of course, unless he saw how playing to such will just about guarantee his election as it did with our present commander in chief. I guess,if people are so shallow in their thinking that,at least, this time around,if Carson is elected,he would actually better qualify to be the first "black" president.

In Satan's world the murder of the unborn infant is a great accolade in the delusion of the reprobate. Therefore Planned Parenthood, Sanger and Hilary Clinton will be celebrated by his followers.

Mike, I agree with your comment, my point however is that PP and the US secular government abortion policy is the same slave policy of the CSA , " if we can't have slaves, then kill enough of them so they don't rule us" PP is a racist apartide governmental policy against people of color.

PP's hq is in Washington, not Richmond. Their evil is being done under the US flag, for those anti battle flag people.

sc, Carson is informing as to Sanger's intent. And indeed the number of abortions of black folk is at a notably higher rate than white. There's a reason most of the pp clinics are in minority neighborhoods. So while they will profit from white abortion, there still is obvious purpose other than that.

Carson is a racist. PP (appropriate initials for such an institution as planned parenthood)doesn't really care whether the aborted baby is dark or light.
Hopefully, this guy doesn't get elected. We don't need another President playing the race card and further dividing the nation.

Sanger did state that the whole purpose of Planned Parenthood is to eliminate blacks. And the blacks who support abortion don't care that Sanger was a racist as long as they have the 'choice'.
