Largest Baptist university drops ban on 'homosexual acts'

The world's largest Baptist university has dropped a ban on "homosexual acts" in its sexual conduct policy.

After years of appeals from students, alumni and others, Baylor University revised its policy, dropping the ban on gay sex to "state more plainly the expectations of the university," a Baylor spokeswoman said Tuesday.

"These changes were made because we didn't believe the language reflected Baylor's caring community," spokeswoman Lori Fogleman said in an email.

Baylor's previous policy called "homosexual acts" a misuse of "God's gift," along with sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual assault, incest and adultery. To some, the policy was a blemish on the school's reputation, landing it in harsh light in some rankings, like the Princeton Review's roundup of the most LGBT-unfriendly campuses. ...

All fornication on campus should be banned by any Baptist University, or don't send your sons or daughters there.

Dangerous move.

James 4:4 even in the KJV

Exodus 20:7 this time in the NASB
(Imho it helps to be multitranslational with a good grounding in the KJV, a sound benchmark in Bible translations)

"For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."
Galatians 1:7 ESV

The love of money is a root of evil. Baylor worries about reputation, because loss of it threatens loss of donor money. God isn't in the picture.

Jim of Nebraska ,
The sole purpose of Baylor is winning, money and advancement. But they are not any different than any other symbolic denominational college irreguardless of Christian past be it Harvard or Baylor.

Baylor has made its choice, but it will not be alone in facing this challenge. If Baptists are determined to retain their colleges and universities, they will have to show far greater resolve than in the past. They will have to make certain that their schools are the kind of schools that will attract Baptist students, earn the confidence of Baptist parents, and retain a clear accountability to Baptist churches. Otherwise, the Baptist label will mean little or nothing — merely a tip of the hat to ancient history.
last paragraph of ]] (Will the Last Baptist at Baylor Please Turn Out the Lights?) Guess what this isn't about the last nutty thing that Baylor has done--this article was written four years ago

Unfortunately the last article pointed out some of the real seed of evil that were planted and they had nothing to do with racism.

Wayfarer, you got a handle on it, since you live in the neighborhood.

Baylor another evil sin dominated institution helps to defile the land by rejecting God and accepting Satan's rules and government.

They go the way of the world the fallen world.

Lev 18:24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Why is the church so bent out of shape about prevailing sinful behaviors as if it was not warned about sin increasing because of sin? Sin is the greatest multiplier if not dealt with properly. And dealt with among God's people - the Church.

When racism was accepted in the church, it opened the door to evolution, social crimes, and homosexuality. These things all have their roots in racism.

Many social diseases, sicknesses, psychosis, etc. originate with racism. Capitalism thrives on racism.

Sorry if I rambled. Sorry if this seems disconnected from the heart of this article. But we need to carefully examine the root of issues we are dealing with. It is sin; the sin of racism. You may not want to be "like that other man" in association; even though "that other man" is your Christian brother; equally yoked in Christ.

Why pretend that are not participants in its perpetuity? Nothing surprises me anymore about today's issues and what's ahead for us.

Judgment has begun in the house of God. So why not recognize decisions made by universities, SCOTUS, etc. as being licensed by some of God's racist people; the ones chosen to judge righteously?

As for myself, I am not racist. I just stay in certain circles I'm comfortable in.

Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 2

Verses 1-3: This falling away is not of unbelievers, but of the believers in Christ!

Verses 6-8: The Church, those who stand fast, are those who are withholding the “Antichrist”; that is, until they be taken out of the way.

Verses 10-12: The UNbelievers received not the love of the truth and will be damned! What is love? Some say God is love…and this is true; however, (and this Baptist university needs to take heed), ...LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW! (Romans 13:10); that is, teaching the TRUTH of God’s Word and NOT WAVERING! Even if it does offend those who are perishing.

Verse 15: God’s Word NEVER changes! It is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

Verse 17: Stablish you in every good word and work by fulfilling the law, for this is LOVE! Love is warning those who are perishing even if they do hate you for it. Jesus warned us, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” John 15:18

This Baptist University may grow in numbers (membership), however, what good is it if they are still lost because they received not the Word of Truth, which is the fulfilling of the law?

The apostasy (falling away) is here!

Baylor Univerity is merely following the trend of "in name only", baptist university. They have long separated themselves from the denomination as a force for Christianity. They'll point to other smaller colleges and smugly say "we're not bigots" why are you". When you're a wealthy, tier 1 college, taking in big tax dollars, title one money, and cost 125,000 per degree, per student then you have a pretty big bark for the cause of homosexual tyranny. If the alumni supports the jackboot decision on sexual orientation has their christian conscious has been seared? Has ours?

Right John. Boy, this world is falling like Dominos. Seems to me like the chaff is being seperated before our very eyes. True intentions are being exposed and those who claim to have been born again are being seperated through trials and tribulations where they go the way their heart takes them instead of standing strong for what they know to be right and true.

I wish they would drop the "Baptist" part and just call itself "Reprobate University", where young people can go and learn more about how to sin. They could even introduce a new degree in "Sinful Studies". Oh, I forgot, universities do that already, and always have done.
