Kenyan evangelicals protest upcoming Obama visit

President Barack Obama’s upcoming visit to Kenya sent a small group of protestors to the streets on Monday. Their message to him: Don’t advocate for gay rights in Kenya.

About 35 people attended the demonstration organized by The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya in Nairobi, the country’s capital. Alliance leader Bishop Mark Kariuki said at the protest homosexuality goes against the country’s moral values and sends the wrong message to youths.

The event followed a statement by Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday, who said same-sex couples should leave the country, as the government will never legalize gay marriage. ...

Hi John, that's exactly what I think. I know that no president, premier, or king is appointed without God allowing it, arranging it, etc, but most who hold these major roles of leadership are hardly servants of the most high, but rather, put into place to fulfill God's will and do their part in ushering in the end times. That's my take anyway.
Seems like a good take, Christopher.

That's deep theology for first thing in the morning bro, but I think you may be right. It is a judgment, rather than a blessing. Is that what you think?

Hi Nameless, I think most here pray for the nations leaders, leaders abroad, as well as those in lesser positions. I pray for their salvation, first and foremost, and then for wisdom, etc. I'm not quite sure how anyone can hold a higher political seat and be a Christian at the same time because of the comprimising, good old boy deals, and various line items thrown into a bill that a Christian would normally vote against. Anyway, I think people got stirred up when you said that Mr OBama is a servant to the most high God. I think I know what you mean, but in reality, he is a servant of Satan who God put into office and is USING for His own purposes.

Judging? Simply put - Where is it written what the intentions of Obama are?

Matthew 12:34
"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

Matthew 15:19
"For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:"

Perhaps it is the president's words and deeds that do the judging and reveal his heart.

your comment makes no sense. Cody didn't make a judgmental statement. The people doing the protesting are Christians not unredeemed Kenyans.
Obama is of his father the devil and the lust of his father he will do. Praying for those in authority does not mean we condone or do not condemn their actions. Maybe you should concentrate on John the Baptist and the ruler Herod.
Read your New Testament again, there is much judgment mentioned of groups and individuals from the Lord Jesus and throughout the epistles. Read your Old Testament and see how prophets spoke against kings and their actions.
Judging? Simply put - Where is it written what the intentions of Obama are?

Only God knows Obama's heart, and only God can turn it wheresoever He wills.

Pray for those in authority so that there will be rejoicing in the streets. Pray. Pray with expectations that God will answer the prayer of one whose heart is fully set upon Him and His will.

yes, Nigeria is struggling through this as well. They openly admit he is coming to bring the global sodomite agenda to them. The US has been demanding acceptance of these thing for trade and deal making for quite some time now. The African Christians know!

Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand (Rom 14:4); God alone is omniscient.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God (1 Cor 2:11);
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1 Tim 2:1,2)

Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?

Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin (Jn 19:10,11)

Obama is a servant to the Most High God, as we all are. God works all things according to His plan and not another.

Pray for a open door to the entrance of the Gospel into the hearts of both Obama and unredeemed Kenyans to the glory of God.

Funny how this guy was so against sodomite marriage during his campaign in order to collect the Christian votes and then blamed his daughter for his change of mind. I think she was just the excuse for him to unveil his true intentions. Now, here he is urging the Kenyans to join him in championing the sodomite plight. This is all this guy talks about as if he took over the presidency for this sole purpose as so many other world and national matters take a back seat. Furthering the sodomite plight is not your job, Mr OBama from Kenya.
