Muslims To Outnumber Christians Worldwide At 2070

Shifts in the world’s major religions will see Islam growing faster than any other faith, with the number of Muslims nearly equaling that of Christians by 2050.

A new Pew Research Center study finds that with the exception of Buddhists, the world’s major religions will all see an increase in numbers by 2050, although some will make up a smaller percentage from today. Muslims are the only major religious group projected to increase faster than the world’s population as a whole.

Over the coming four decades, Christianity will remain the world’s largest religious affiliation, but Islam will see a major increase that will make the two religions nearly equal in numbers by 2050. In 2010, Christianity was by far the world’s largest religion, with 2.2 billion followers of the faith and composing nearly one-third (31 percent) of the Earth’s 6.9 billion people. Islam was second, with 1.6 billion ...

the torture images released but ignored by the American church along with the permanent effects of DU, reflect a people that will accept anything. the barriers have been brought down, how I pray daily for those who have stumbled.

In my many years of evangelizing, a catholic will stumble at saying outright "Yes, I'm a Christian." They always say "I'm a Catholic." Try it. It is like a flag, or signal for you not to go any further in giving them the truth. Very few who do come to faith leave that system. Its the aesthetics that is appealing and arouses their affections; not the Holy Spirit revealing the truth about Christ to them.

Well, if we discount all of the RCs, JWs, Pentecostals/Charismatics, Mormons, the Emergent Church and all of other liberal, in name only professing christians, then my guess is the numbers aren’t even close now much less in the future. I didn’t read the article, but my guess is they included all except possibly the Mormons. The narrow road is in fact the narrow road.

suggest looking up our grand leader's name and Nigeria elections. you will see interesting results. the world is not just standing idly by. the world uses islm for their purposes, which they may think is something like consolidating power, holding onto their markets, etc.... but..... they do not realize their aim at Christians is a spiritual battle that they themselves do not understand and are a part of.
Christians cannot sit idly by and be silent about the truth. I love my family and I wouldn't sit silently if they were harmed, nonchalantly, but would speak on their behalf.
missionaries that came before us did not sit idly by either in the face of injustice. they might have taken their martyrdom, but in the meantime, the brethren spoke on their behalf in the streets, in the courts for the name of Christ. Paul did the same thing. He used the legal system.

Christians suffer for Christ, but unlike the heathens who slash themselves we do not see it as some kind of cathartic experience. If anything the brethren love one another and seek to relieve each other of the burden.

it's because the American evangelical churches Are about themselves rather than being fruitful and multiply as God commands! this also includes adoption.

The "world" is doing what it is supposed to do; sleep.

What do you expect the "world" to do? The "world" got us into this mess. What Christians need to do is to be silent and pray for those who are in bonds and being led to a slaughter.
The Church, not "the world" has to see it at the door. As of now, it is over there.
Do you believe God hears our prayers? Pray and watch for the salvation of the Lord.
An aside. I don't much care for Pat Buchanan. But he made a point of saying our, America's, enemies are killing our, America's enemies. E.g. let them duke it out alone.
However, he was not referring to Christians. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal ...
Our prayer Psa 25:2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
For you, draw near to God "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (Heb 10:25).
