Benny Hinn Suffers Heart Attack After Trip to Brazil
Popular miracle-working faith healer and televangelist, Benny Hinn, 62, is now recovering in a hospital after suffering a heart attack after an overseas trip and his family is asking for prayers.

Hinn's daughter, Jessica Hinn Koulianos, made the revelation in a message on the Benny Hinn Ministries website late Monday evening.

"Recently he (Hinn) returned to California after ministering to crowds of over 100,000 people in Brazil, including over 2,000 pastors and leaders from all over South America. It was truly a remarkable nation-shaking event. And while it was a rewarding journey, after he arrived home he suddenly began battling fatigue and shortness of breath. For those of you who know my Dad, you know that he never stops; so when he spent over a week in bed, we knew something was wrong. I flew to California to be with him and insisted that he see a doctor. On Friday, he consulted with his ...

" Thus, I do not keep it in mind to follow Benny Hinn's teachings, nor do I keep it in mind to condemn him.[/QUOTE]Jessica, Jessica. I some unregenerate is not hiding behind "Judge not; lest ye be judged" they are saying "You can't condemn me... ." It doesn't stop. How is BH being condemned? I don't think someone praying for this man until God reveals to them to stop praying for him (and for the infected followers) is condemning the man.
Physical healing was not the focus of Jesus' healing. Reconciliation was. It was that of the prophets and the apostles also. Matthew 28:18,19 shows that that is the focus of our ministries also. Why should it be any different in these last days for BH, Marilyn Hickey, Kenneth Copeland, Cleflo $$, Paula White? Aaaand the list goes on.
Many are going into Hell physically fit and with full bellys, and some with the riches of this world. However, ...

Jessica, I think you should pray that the Holy Spirit teaches you why Luke 4:23a was spoken.
Also, how can you apply it to BH? My, my, my.
I am amazed at the longsuffering of God. I am a recipient of this also. He is patient, gentle, kind, merciful, and wanting men to repent. We see this clearly in BH's case.
Was he teachable? Did he receive correction from fellow believers? When he is better, do you think he'll visit Sierra Leone and other parts of ebola stricken Africa? Will patients in the same hospital be healed? Or, are Africans the only recipients of his healing powers?
Greetings and God bless,

As for the proverb: "Physician heal thyself," my concern was that our precious Lord Jesus would hear His people using such hateful words, which He also heard in His time on earth, against another human being made in the image of God.

Jesus used to say to people: "Your faith had made you well." Thus, I do not keep it in mind to follow Benny Hinn's teachings, nor do I keep it in mind to condemn him.

John,
Do you believe this man performed such deeds for so many years without people praying for him and those infected with his teaching?
Benny is a false prophet; an antichrist. Anyone failing to exalt the person and the work of Christ in his messages is not of God. That is what the epistle of John is about.
I don't think genuine believers are rejoicing over his affliction, nor are they his enemies. But Benny has made many others sick.

There comes a time when God turns a deaf ear to prayers.

The cure for a bad attitude towards others, even enemies, is to go through the psalms and observe what a gracious heart is like, and how it grieves when others are sick. There is only one way to get this attitude, and that is to be filled with the Holy Ghost. It is in threads like this, that we can see who is filled with the Spirit and who is backslidden, who is walking with the Lord and who is walking in the flesh.

Psalms 35:11-16 KJV False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. (12) They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. (13) But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. (14) I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother. (15) But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: (16) With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

Thank you Andrea, I was also uncomfortable with the comments, especially people using the proverb that was used to condemn, Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour: "He said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself!" (Luke 4:23a).

Benny Hinn's greatest need is to be saved, so praying for that should be first and foremost. That is the greatest need of every lost sinner and that is what we should be praying for. Temporal health matters little if one dies apart from Christ.

Wait a minute... the healing evangelist who preaches a gospel of healing had a heart attack in the first place, and then got conventional medical care? And they're asking for prayers?

If this sounds wrong, you should do a study of the health problems these healing evangelists have had. It's not hard to find that info online. Kind of undermines their whole message.

We should pray for Hinn's soul. There's still time for him to repent and be saved.

"Recovering in a hospital"?!?!?

Why doesn't he just faith-heal himself?

Nevertheless, I wish him well, but only to the end that he would be granted time to repent of his money lust and misrepresentation of Jesus and be born again.
