Fluoride in Our Water Linked to Weight Gain and Depression

Fluoride could be causing depression and weight gain and councils should stop adding it to drinking water to prevent tooth decay, scientists have warned.

A study of 98 per cent of GP practices in England found that high rates of underactive thyroid were 30 per cent more likely in areas of the greatest fluoridation.

It could mean that up to 15,000 people are suffering needlessly from thyroid problems which can cause depression, weight gain, fatigue and aching muscles.

Had the Ecowater distiller years ago before Waterwise bought them out. It broke and was replaced with the Waterwise unit. Worked well for awhile until it broke too. One side of the unit was pinkish white and the other side was white which bothered me at the time. Bought a different style off Ebay from a popular seller which was chinese junk with no stickers and instructions which burned up. Found another distiller from Nutriteam which looked the same but was much better quality and it still works today. Replaced the gasket a few years ago.

When Waterwise took over Ecowater, they took the same distiller and doubled the price. That's why I won't buy their product or recommend it.

We used the distiller daily when we were on toxic poopy tea water in the city, but we are now on good well water so we don't use it daily.

It's natural fluoride versus synthetic fluoride.

Calcium fluoride versus sodium fluoride.

Nice try.

Fluoride in most groundwaters occurs as the anion F–. Waters with high fluoride content are found mostly in calcium-deficient ground waters in many basement aquifers, such as granite and gneiss, in geothermal waters and in some sedimentary basins. Groundwaters with high fluoride concentrations occur in many areas of the world including large parts of Africa, China, the Middle East and southern Asia (India, Sri Lanka). One of the best known high fluoride belts on land extends along the East African Rift from Eritrea to Malawi. There is another belt from Turkey through Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, India, northern Thailand and China. The Americas and Japan have similar belts.
Fluoride is found in vegetables, fruit, tea and other crops. although drinking water is usually the largest contributor to the daily fluoride intake. Fluoride is also found in the atmosphere, originating from the dusts of fluoride-containing soils, from gaseous industrial wastes, from the burning of coal fires in populated areas and from gases of volcanic activity. Thus fluoride, in varying concentrations, is freely available in nature

Mike,
ya, that adding in a heavy metal and forcing you to pull it out is kind of like rubbing your clothes in coffee and ketchup before washing them.... what's up with that?
we use dr mercolas filter, and relatively happy with it, definitely noticeable when its time to change it out, it takes out heavy metals including fluoride, arsenic, lead, mercury, chlorine, and hopefully meds through the charcoal (since the pharma industry wants every American on them, and I think they may be up to 71%). With distiller, I hear you should add minerals back in. Does that work well for you all?
We like it, and have used it for some time. We use it for coffee, some cooking, but most of our drinking water is purchased spring water. (Not purified water which is just municipal water in bottles, as you likely know) The distilled water passes through a carbon filter before exiting. Filters are about $38 a pack of 6. I replace ours every three months or so. Ours is a model 4000 from waterwise.com. Not cheap, but cheap to use per gallon. Hunt around their site, somewhere they tell why we don't actually benefit from minerals that come in water. They have a free water scam report available, too.

true, lots of people have believed that the otherwise toxic waste is "good for you" and that your entire body should be doused with it, so that your kidneys become the filter for what is not absorbed in the brain... for your teeth. anyone can look on their fluoridated toothpaste and see warning labels if you might ingest it. why are we ingesting it then??
but true to form, instead of getting informed they just decide that because they were duped that truth cannot be had... "what is truth?" they say...
while you all pontificate philosophy, I would like to have to quit buying water filters to get it out of my water.

I'm surprised you can find filters to remove fluoride. I use a distiller, as the county adds fluoride to the drinking water, so as to medicate the folks involuntarily.

I wonder how many people know sodium fluoride is a main ingredient in some rat poisons? The heart med Warfarin is another. I remember a rat poison that was called Warfarin. We used it on the farm I grew up on.

There's a reason it says on the toothpaste tube, don't let your kids swallow it.

Was that 'the Americans' or 'the Arminians' , we brits have the best and cleanest shiniest teeth, though they often be made of plastic and substitutes for the ones we lost despite the fluoride exported from the USA into our toothpaste

Science says no man made substitute e.g. fluoride in your toothpaste and you can lose your teeth, so likewise not keeping to some man made substitute added to the word of God and you gonna lose your salvation too, according to strict arminianism (or Americans ).

So do Arminians or Americans have the best teeth

The word of faith exponents certainly have nice gnashers and are usually both.

The greatest export from the USA is a far more sinister and disturbing legacy than even fluoride

Yes some of the best believers are American, so don't misunderstand

everyone should go look at the skull and crossbone warning signs at your local water processing plant, its right there in plain view.

Or another way of saying what you said is since science changes its findings on a regular basis, then how do we know what they are saying is true? I am not a scientist so I am pretty much forced to accept findings that may or may not be factual. I remember hearing years ago a statement that went something like; "if you don't like what science is telling, don't worry just wait and they will change it".

Anything secular that is by its nature progressive should be pondered with caution; not discounted, but pondered with caution and discernment.

Hey GS from Texas. I am still praying every night for you. If all is okay, let me know if not, then I am on for the rest of this month. It is no problem for me at all, in fact I consider it to be a blessing to be able to do this.

The totality of evidence, accumulated over decades of research, tells us that water fluoridation is a safe and effective public health measure, and shows no association with reduced thyroid function.
