GOP moves early to court conservative Christians
Republicans are actively courting white evangelical and born again Christian voters, knowing they will be crucial in early-voting states such as Iowa and South Carolina.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is urging people to join him next month in Baton Rouge for a day of fasting, repentance and prayer focused on the future of the United States.

On the same day, another gathering will take place in Des Moines, where at least five potential GOP presidential candidates will address Iowa voters on "core principles" that include "social conservatism."

In August, Marco Rubio spoke at South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan's "Faith and Freedom" fundraiser. Jindal, Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry and Mike Huckabee addressed the Iowa Family Leader Summit in that same month. And in November, Ben Carson was the keynote speaker at the Family Leader's annual fundraising dinner. ...

Although one would be certain that he listened to his pastors sermon on the inadequacy of morality, he forgets that it does not condemn moral laws or legislation and that none of the regular posters here believe that salvation is by works of righteousness which we have done which a person who believes that morality saves would do.
Of course one doesn't forget that in Jim's world the current sitting president can do no wrong and the previous administration is the cause of all the world's problems.
I tried to leave this alone, but couldn't. Jim is on a mission for the democratic party and is sort of cunning in the way he does it, I admit. However, once again for the record, he says he is against the LGBT and abortion movements and then supports the party who promotes both. That easily says that Obama and Obama care easily trumps those abominable anti-God issues. It is my guess that he fools few.

RomneyCare’s pioneering health insurance exchange is headed for the scrap heap.
Bay State officials are taking steps this week to junk central parts of their dysfunctional health insurance exchange ‚ÄĒ the model for President Barack Obama‚Äôs health care law ‚ÄĒ and merge with the federal enrollment site HealthCare.gov

or you can go with Jim's three year old story from Forbes.

Maybe Jim could provide a link as to why the majority of Catholics vote democratic.

It would be one thing if you just never criticized, your support is well documented. Just click on the magnifying glass next to your name from a computer. But will give you benefit of the doubt and say you don't support everything the Obama regime puts out and appreciate your stand against the LBGT movement.

Thanks be to God for His mercies, sister jpw, glad to here your report!

Jamie, I think he wants to sling mud at the GOP so you'll vote Democratic.

There's this concept that there are two parties that are opposed to the other.

So those with that philosophy are one to oppose the fictional other.

When really the very things they push define what they say they are opposed to.

Its a matter of identifying with institutional and collective power rather than with Christ.

And as a side note, (not in any way a response to your posts) the separation of church and state was for the purpose of people expressing their convictions within the public arena, not for atheists to bully everyone around so that children are no longer safe to go to the bathroom.

Jom is not hard to understand. He despises the Republican Party (especially the TEA party segment within it) and doesn't think morals and laws or legislation can co-exist. At least that describes his political view. More detailed information on his views can be found anywhere Common Core is used

Jim, try as i might I cannot understand your world view. That is not to disparage you in any way. I simply cannot place you, which is ironic considering your love of categorization and pigeon holing. Abraham Lincoln also said "might makes right", not "left makes sense". Anyway I always enjoy your postings because I never know what you will vehemently oppose next!

Gentlemen, your thoughts for the day, when thinking of supporting ]]The Christian Right Movement.
Abraham Lincoln said or, wrote:

I should first point out, Jamie, it almost never makes a difference if one votes Democratic or for Independents in this state. The Republican will win. So, of course as a protest vote, I voted for all the major offices Democratic. I almost no twinge of conscience about this year, since the Republican for Governor, made it plain, he was a Catholic, supported the evil parochial school system, and supports vouchers.

I have to say I'm sorry that I didn't live in Omaha this year! The Republican Congressman there --for 16 years-- was arrogant, and he got kicked out!!! God does get tired of the Greedy Old Party, at least once in awhile.

Well, I keep a straight ticket for the top offices in 2016? I am an Independent, so it depends on whose running, so I'll have to decide if I'm going to mark he ballot for any office at all. The Demos, seem to want to ignore that the majority of people --not just Republicans-- are against queer marriage, so one less vote for them counts more than one less for the GOP, because fewer people vote for them.

But it's a comforting thought that God is in control of this state as everywhere else and chooses to inflict us with the politicians that we get. It isn't my fault.

No votes for anyone who doesn't support the ACA

Jamie, I will answer your question for Jim as best as I can. When confronted with his hypcrisies, Jim gets a blank look in his eyes, then shakes his head a couple of times and then continues his pseudo march for the liberal agenda which includes, abortion, homosexuality and feminism.

Now I am about as a-political as someone can be, but since I am given a choice, I would never vote to elect a liberal politician. And those who do and then spin their true agenda are ..., well you know already.

Jamie, I didn't know there was only one sin, and yes, I consider abortion in almost all cases a sin, except in saving the life of the mother. Unfortunately, one might say this is the Jewish position on abortion, ]]Is abortion in Christianity a mistranslation of Bible?, though I would argue he isn't quite correct either, but this would be the Puritan, and perhaps several other people's position on abortion also. You can't ignore other sins that are very specifically mentioned in the New Testatment, which I have often pointed out. ]]1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Dominionists? I think Jamie has given us an example of one, but no, I don't believe in stifling free speech either.

I do believe in a secular democracy, and not a "Christian" Caliphate. Nebr. Greedy Old Party, is really nothing more than a "Christian" (Catholic) "Democratic" Party, which means it's just an arm of the Romish Church. No, way, will I support Satan's Church

Our form of representative government is.. Is a blessing from God. However, if we are indifferent or antagonistic without participating then we have no right to speak if we do not use our gifts and skills to try to improve our communities and represent Christ. While it is still day ; Vote, argue effectively, fight the good fight or those in darkness will rule over you.
