Hotel Gives In To Atheist Threats, Removes Guest Bibles
Due to the selfless acts of organizations like The Gideons International, countless hotel guests have found salvation or comfort via Holy Bibles placed in rooms across the nation and beyond. While not displayed prominently, these Christian texts can be reliably found in the nightstand drawer of rooms from the most inexpensive to the most opulent accommodations imaginable.
In today’s overly sensitive, politically correct climate, however, it takes just one complaint to derail a program that has served as an inspiration to individuals from all walks of life.
Such was the case in the Hotel Memorial Union at Iowa State University. According to reports, a recent guest complained to the radical secularist group Freedom From Religion Foundation, which in turn demanded the hotel remove all bibles from guest rooms....
I had my eyes opened reading a Gideon New Testament years later that I had received while in the Army. God's Word does not return void. The atheistic socialist statists know that the Church empowered by the Word of God is the greatest impediment to their totalitarian goals. That is why they are going after believers whereever they find them: in schools, universities, the military, in business, & in government. Ride on King Jesus!!!
Strat, interesting thoughts on the use of brute force. I was thinking exactly on this the other day. Liberalism has always been sold as soft, but its actions degrade society, and when forced is highly aggressive. Same old flesh with a new coat!

I can see a Hotel taking the Bibles out of the room while the atheists are there. But to get rid of the program altogether? That's nuts.I am a huge fan of the Gideons.
Thanks TB. I was thinking along different lines at the time, but thinking more about it, I agree. I guess I was thinking more about how the bible is structured, unlike a tract, where there's no chapter on salvation, or whatever, but God Word is God's Word and whats more powerful that that?
The word of God is not in vain, anywhere it is present in whatever form it has the power to convict and save....seems the atheist instinctively know this and are threatened by it.

Hi Christopher. FYI, I've heard testimonies of folks getting saved by reading Gideons Bibles. God's word is powerful seed & the Holy Spirit can water that seed in a lonely hotel room... God bless.

They are going after all business, all people, all must comply and conform or else.I am old enough to remember what the left called for back in the 60s and early 70's..are they so drunk with power that they don't realize that they are becoming exactly what they said they were against back then....brute force and power....hypocrisy has a way of making it's self known.
A spirit of satanic submission has gripped the land, the wicked have become strong, bold and proud while the "righteous" are weak and timid...could it be that we have more of the former and less of the latter than we want to believe ?
Not unlike the homosexuals, the athiests, seemingly around the same time, began gaining ground on the all out assault on God. They not only hate the God of the bible, but they are capitalizing on it. Neither group ever had a voice until our politically correct, radically liberal, we are the new gods, government made a concerted effort to take God out of the equation once and for all. Although I don't believe a hotel bible ever saved anyone, the attack against God and the born again Christian community is unprecedented. Interesting that all false religions and cults are met with respect while biblical Christianity is met utter hatred, verbal violence, and lawsuits. I think I'm right where I'm suppose to be and will be happy to stand proud and shout loud no matter what threats or dangerous roads await me.
The absolute gutless cowardice of business and industry these days is astounding, all of America is huddled in a corner, trembling with fear at a small but vocal group of people who will destroy us if we let them.
