Who can people call when religious doubts arise, but they're afraid to talk to their faith leaders or families?
A group that helps people "recover" from religion says it's ready to pick up the phone.
Recovering from Religion, which has about 40 support groups in the U.S. and Britain, plans to launch a hotline that will offer doubters an anonymous place to ask difficult questions and find communities of like-minded nonbelievers.
The group plans to staff the help line 24 hours a day and is modeling it after services like suicide prevention hotlines....
Thanks for the comments but I just don't understand why they are active at all in trying to extinguish all things God. I understand that they hate Him, religion, etc, but why even spend a moments time fighting against it as opposed to just living their lives, while allowing others to live theirs? What really confuses me with these people is that if they are willingly ignorant, as the Bible says, that means that deep down somewhere they know that the God of the Bible really does exist so they are actively and consciously fighting against Him. Is this really possible? Pretty foolish if so. Another thing I find strange is that people actually take up arms against God Himself during the battle of armageddon. What are they gonna di, throw rocks? Really strange to imagine.
It is illogical for people to be active atheists, but rather they are anti-theist. It's not that they don't believe but they don't want anyone to believe. To set up a hotline for something you don't believe in is like setting up a hotline for people struggling with their belief in Santa and the tooth fairy. Romans says they do not like to retain God in their knowledge...they are anti-theists the belief that belief in God is to be persecuted, ridiculed and erased from society at all cost.
Doubting christians dont exist nonbelievers, and religious people doubt they always have and always will. The pharisees asked Jesus how long doest though make us to doubt. Doubting is Gods way of letting someone know they are lost which in turn causes them to seek harder. Some say its the devil but why would he want you to doubt and search harder for the truth?

The natural man hates God, and so must replace him with one of his own imagination or deny his existence altogether.

Oh boy. Why do these people hate Christianity so much that they will go to no end to poison anyone in any way possible? So, they don't believe in God, or any sort of afterlife...oblivion...okay, well, why not leave anyone who believes different than them alone? If death is nothing more than nothingness, why do they expend any energy trying to turn the weak and ignorant away from God, or whatever...why do they even care?
