The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church has denounced the Apostle Paul as mean-spirited and bigoted for having released a slave girl from demonic bondage as reported in Acts 16:16-34 .
In her sermon delivered at All Saints Church in Curaçao in the diocese of Venezuela, Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori condemned those who did not share her views as enemies of the Holy Spirit.
The presiding bishop opened her remarks with an observation on the Dutch slave past. “The history of this place tells some tragic stories about the inability of some to see the beauty in other skin colors or the treasure of cultures they didn’t value or understand,” she said....
What a poster this woman's photo could make. One might have hear smiling face with a brief synopsis (if that is the right word) of her false heretical teachings and the Biblical passages they violate, along with a reminder of the people she has influence with and over
That we might weep over such sin against Jesus Christ and pray and interceed people would be delivered out of the hands of evil one who (ab)uses weak, Biblicallly illiterate, gullible individuals to do his evil will. Even to confessing and forsaking our own sins as well.
And anything else the Spirit of God would lay upon our hearts to pray as well.

But the Episcopal Church in the USA, is a dead body anyway. We are glad this church is dying.
Dave Shiflett wrote: Most people go to church to get something they cannot get elsewhere. This consuming public–people who already believe, or who are attempting to believe, who want their children to believe–go to church to learn about the mysterious Truth on which the Christian religion is built. They want the Good News, not the minister’s political views or intellectual coaching. The latter creates sprawling vacancies in the pews. Indeed, those empty pews can be considered the earthly reward for abandoning heaven, traditionally understood.

Can anyone take this person seriously, who is so blinded by her "diversity" agenda, she sees it everywhere-- even in Paul's exorcism of a demon-possessed girl?
After reading the article, I can only speculate that slavery is still a hot button issue in Curaçao. She is promoting her lies by appealing to the anger of the congregation of past injustice. Its very much like the Black Liberation Churches, or anti Catholic ones in the US that can push their lies by appealing to anger of their listeners
No matter how ridiculous the lies & accusations, the listeners buy it because of unresolved hatred buried deep in their hearts

Paul's instruction regarding women's speech and teaching in 1 Cor 14 and 1 Tim 2 are applicable directly to Christian women, believing women. However, if the quotations in this article are true, Paul's admonitions about wolves in sheep's clothing, and those who bring another gospel (Galatians) are more appropriate.
