Obama's Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: 'Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii'
Breitbart News has obtained a promotional booklet produced in 1991 by Barack Obama's then-literary agency, Acton & Dystel, which touts Obama as "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."
The booklet, which was distributed to "business colleagues" in the publishing industry, includes a brief biography of Obama among the biographies of eighty-nine other authors represented by Acton & Dystel.
It also promotes Obama's anticipated first book, Journeys in Black and White--which Obama abandoned, later publishing Dreams from My Father instead....
@Jim Lincoln: You are truly ignorant of the facts around the matter of the dfinition of "natural born citizen". As shocking as it may be to you, American legal precedent established in case law trumps your esteemed source, Wikipedia, every time. NBC was defined in case law in the 1800's.

So when do we get to see this "certified birth certificates". Obama sealed his from being seen, by a presidential decree.
What ever has happened to praying for your elected leaders? I don't recall any real bashing of the previous president. He did some ungodly things as well (bowing to the Pope of Rome, aligning himself with a VP whose daughter is a lesbian, etc.).
I regret that Sermon Audio has gotten caught up with it as well. Where are the posts against Mitt, who could become the first cultist (Mormon) president?
What a choice we have come November. Better to go with the devil you know..
Democratic Conservative, I agree with you.
No matter how you pull the lever in November, God is in control! That's always been a comfort to me.
jpw of course your entitled to your personal interpretation of the law, but what counts is the courts and the House of Representatives, and they don't give a hoot for that interpretation.
A somewhat amusing opinion piece from the Wall St. Journal, not known to be a liberal rag, ]]Counterfeit Kenyan or as the subtitle puts it, "True fiction turns out to be stranger than fake fiction."
first -- both parents have to be citizens at time of birth....
second --- the person has to be born in US
third -- a new election is coming up and only those qualified to run should be in it
fourth -- the actions of a non qualified person do not count during office because the orders were given without authority -- officers were put in prison for refusing to obey orders because there was no proof --
Does it matter where he was born as long as his mom was an American citizen? Does both of his parents have to be citizens for him to be considered natural born? Also, it's really to late to do anything about it now if he is not natural born.
If that were the case, TB, then you should made a fuss about John McCain being born in the Panama Canal Zone!
Wikipedia wrote: The Constitution does not define the phrase natural-born citizen, and various opinions have been offered over time regarding its precise meaning. The Congressional Research Service has stated that the weight of scholarly legal and historical opinion indicates that the term means one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship "at birth" or "by birth," including any child born "in" the United States, even to alien parents (other than to foreign diplomats serving their country), the children of United States citizens born abroad, and those born abroad of one citizen parent who has met U.S. residency requirements.

What about Governor Romney? Is he a natural-born, American citizen? Wasn't he actually born on Kolob? 'Non-Mormon scholars immediately recognized the Joseph Smith papyri as copies of two Egyptian funerary documents, the Book of the Dead and the Book of Breathings. They were basically directions to help deceased Egyptians negotiate the tricky netherworld tests they expected to encounter on their way to eternal life. In ancient times, every well-to-do Egyptian saved up to have scribes copy down these instructions, inserting each customer's name in the correct places to personalize them, like postmortem travel documents. The versions supposedly translated by Joseph Smith postdated the biblical Abraham by some fifteen hundred years and bore about as much similarity to Joseph Smith's "translation" as they did to The Cat in the Hat' ( http://tinyurl.com/cmkzzuu ).
(All I'm trying to say is Natural Born Citizen does not equal Citizen. BO may be the latter, but he is not the former. The constitution requires that he be the former.)
@Jim Lincoln -- Your mistake is assuming I was answering the arguments of his birthplace and whether or not that makes BO a true citizen of the USA. I'm merely pointing out that the office of oresident requires a Natural Born Citizen which he is NOT, meaning BO is not a legitimate president.
TB, his mother was a natural born citizen. If you had read Bret's entire comments, he isn't arguing at all that President Obama wasn't born in Hawaii, he is just pointing out that politicians can get creative depending on what audience they are appealing to at the moment, and this I would say goes for all politicians.
"For persons born between December 24, 1952 and November 14, 1986, a person is a U.S. citizen if all of the following are true (except if born out-of-wedlock)[8]:
The person's parents were married at the time of birth One of the person's parents was a U.S. citizen when the person was born The citizen parent lived at least ten years in the United States before the child's birth; A minimum of 5 of these 10 years in the United States were after the citizen parent's 14th birthday."
Mr. Obama was born in 1961 in Kenya/Hawaii/wherever to at least one U.S. citizen who was married at the time, therefore Obama is a U.S. citizen.
"Becoming a citizen" by being born in the USA is not the point. The framers of the constitution of the USA required all presidents to be "Natural Born Citizens". Regardless of where he was born, Obama is not a N.B.C. as his father is Kenyan.
It doesn't matter if the mother is a citizen or has a US passport. A child born in US becomes a citizen, which can't be said about our current president, because there is no clear proof of that or for that matter, most of the things that his administration is doing.
