Gulf oil spill disaster and Biblical prophecy: Is there a connection?
Gulf oil spill disaster and Biblical prophecy: Is there a connection?

A number of websites and news organizations have begun to relate the Gulf oil spill with predictions of disaster as told in the book of Revelations in the Christian Bible.

Is it crazy doom and gloom theory? Or is there something to it?

Revelation 8:8‚Äď11. ‚ÄúThe second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed ‚Ķ A third of the waters became wormwood, and many died from the water, because it was made bitter.‚ÄĚ ...

"Rick": Those Are Very WISE Words Indeed; As Here In Chicago The Satanic-Vatican's "Jesuit", Freemasonic & Illuminati-Lead Drones Of Entertainment, Amusement & Sports Fanatics Have Celebrated The Blackhawks Win Of The "Stanley-Cup" By Having The Blackhawks THEMSELVES & Their IDOLATROUS "Stanley-Cup" Parading In The 2010 Chicago Sin-Sick-SODOMIC & Pervert-"PRIDE" Parade !

This Year's PERVERT-"PRIDE" Parade ALSO Included, For The 1st Time, The Chicago "Cubs" Baseball Team !

I've Been Finding Myself More & More On My Knees, Especially After Midnight, Begging ALMIGHTY GOD For HIS POWER Over Satan & The Forces Of Darkness !

As For The Oil Spill Having Biblical Implications: One CAN'T Ignore The Vast Immediate Environmental & Social Impact It'll Have On The Gulf Coast & The U.S. As A Whole;

Giving TRUE HISTORIC JUDEO-CHRISTIAN SAINTS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO PREACH THE AUTHORIZED BIBLICAL-LITERALIST'S INTERPRETATION OF PROPHECY & THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST !

Please continue to pray for us in the Gulf Shores Alabama area. It looks as if God has a plan other than quickly fixing this problem. We need to know what the Lord wants us to learn from this problem. Repentance is the most obvious. We need to put away our idols of Entertainment, get back in God's house, get on our knees and seek him. And take the attitude Habakkuk had when he said "Though the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall the fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the flocks shall yeild no meat.....Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.......

There seem to be two schools of thought. The most prevalent is that high methane gas levels can deplete the oxygen and kill all the sea life - that's all of the sea life. ATexas AandM University oceanography professor, John Kessler, has measured the methane levels in the spill area, and he says they are very high but have not yet reached a critical level. Two months from now might be a different story, he says:

This report out of New Orleans:
At least 4.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas
"This is the most vigorous methane eruption in modern human history," said John Kessler, a Texas AandM University
A methane bubble this large -- if able to escape from under the ocean floor through fissures, cracks and fault areas -- is likely to cause a gas explosion. With the emerging evidence of fissures, the tacit fear now is this: the methane bubble may rupture the seabed and may then erupt with an explosion within the Gulf of Mexico waters. The bubble is likely to explode upwards propelled by more than 50,000 psi of pressure, bursting through the cracks and fissures of the sea floor, fracturing and rupturing miles of ocean

Google is your friend,do a search.......

Disturbing evidence is mounting that something frightening is happening deep under the waters of the Gulf of Mexico‚ÄĒsomething far worse than the BP oil gusher.

Warnings were raised as long as a year before the Deepwater Horizon disaster that the area of seabed chosen by the BP geologists might be unstable, or worse, inherently dangerous.

What makes the location that Transocean chose potentially far riskier than other potential oil deposits located at other regions of the Gulf? It can be summed up with two words: methane gas.

The same methane that makes coal mining operations hazardous and leads to horrendous mining accidents deep under the earth also can present a high level of danger to certain oil exploration ventures.

Location of Deepwater Horizon oil rig was criticized

More than 12 months ago some geologists rang the warning bell that the Deepwater Horizon exploratory rig might have been erected directly over a huge underground reservoir of methane.

Documents from several years ago indicate that the subterranean geologic formation may contain the presence of a huge methane deposit.

If we rightly divide the word (for upon us are the ends of the world come), we ought to discern the capital mystery city of Babylon, and how the U.S.A. serves themselves of those wicked ways that make it the land of Chaldea that hosts her.

Ezekiel 16:28 "Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast UNSATIABLE..."

Nahum 2:4 "The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings. (5) He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared. (6) The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved. (8) But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. STAND, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back. (9) Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture."

Amos 3:8 "the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?"

Micah 4:10 "..for NOW shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered..."

"Is it crazy doom and gloom theory? Or is there something to it?"

It's the stuff you hear after every earthquake, tornado, flood, etc., by self-appointed prophet wannabes. Might as well add oil spills to the list. In the case of oil, there have been worse spills in the past, but they won't let facts get in the way. Reminds me in a way of the present Administration that lives by the motto "Never let a crisis go to waste." The big difference is, the prophet wannabes can't create a disaster, so they have to wait on them, whereas the Washington group exploits both natural and man-made crises.

This and other oil spills just demonstrate how puny and feeble man is without divine help.

That's in the Bible.

Has there ever been a current event/natural disaster/war/etc that has NOT been found in the Bible?

The Gulf Oil Spill is just a small pictue of things that will happen in the future, but it is not the complete fullfilment of Rev. Ch. 8. That would be comparing a local pond to the Atlatic ocean.
