Muslims gather for the first time ever to pray in front of the U.S. Capitol
Muslims gathered today at the west front of the U.S. Capitol for traditional Friday prayers, men on one side, women on the other. Several thousand touched their heads to the ground facing east as the prayer call sounded over the lawn. ”Allah akbar,” the voice began—“Allah is great.”
