Next week, blasphemy gets its own holiday
TORONTO—You’ve never seen Jesus like this before: dripping red nail polish around the nails in his feet and hands, an irreverent riff on the crucifixion wounds. The provocative title of the painting: “Jesus Does His Nails.”

Blasphemous? Absolutely. Deliberately provocative? You bet.

It is part of an upcoming art exhibit in Washington that will mark the first-ever International Blasphemy Day next Wednesday (Sept. 30) at the Center for Inquiry DC near Capitol Hill.

When a woman frivolously has an abortion, I can scarcely imagine her state of mind when she comes to know the enormity of such a crime.

With this in mind, would that make my prayers for the illumination and the conversion of these people, vengeance-based?

Evidently this artist is portraying Christ engaging in feminine activity.
Since Christ never sinned we know he never did, nor will he ever do anything effeminate (which for a man is sin 1 Cor 6).

Just once I'd love to see one of these "artists" portray one of their own beloved heros in a blasphemous/rebellious light, which doesn't seem to happen very often despite modern art's general claim to be "iconoclastic", "edgy", etc.

Obama as "the joker" was pretty tame compared to what this woman has done.

Maybe a mural of Martin Luther King Jr. as a chef, refusing to serve Mexicans in his own dining establishment. Trust me, it'll NEVER happen.

"Artist Dana Ellyn says her “Blasphemy” paintings are a tongue-in-cheek expression of her lack of belief in God and religion"

She will know the answer on judgment day - and regret for eternity.

Psalm 12:1 "Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted"

Read the article, but it doesn't suprise me that this person would do this, BUT at least we as Christians don't go out and massacre those who blaspheme our God, we allow God to take the vengence for this act. Thank God that our God is greater than all other gods. Hallelujah, Jesus is coming soon. In Christ's love Bruce Lantto 2 Tim 1:12
