Mr. President - go to church!
A Christian author and chairman of the history department at Grove City College is encouraging President Barack Obama to attend church regularly.

In a recent column distributed nationally (and posted on OneNewsNow.com), titled "A plea to the president to attend church," Dr. Gary Smith writes about President Obama's frequent claims that faith is important to him and how it helps guide his political priorities.

Dr. Smith pointed out in his column how the president has sought out clergy and lay Christians to give him counsel. But in conjunction with that, the educator encouraged President Obama to also attend church on a regular basis with his family. ...

Let me add that I have a problem with America's Christianity. People judging the President on his faith must first look at self. People going to church and hating at the same time. The conservatives have their own standard of religion, which is not biblical. Too many self-righteous people.

The problem that I have with Obama's Christianity
is not so much with what he has done politically (although it is that, too), but that he can promote, nay, exalt, another religion (Islam).
How does a true Christian uphold and solidify someone's belief in a system which he believes will eternally separate that person from God?

John Y., Ronnie had rotten fruit:

Matthew 7
16 "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they?
17 "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' (NASB)

Yes, perhaps Ronnie did become a Christian,

I Corinthians 3
14 If any man's work which he has built upon it remains, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work is burned up, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as through fire. (NASB)

but all the bad fruit he produced poisoned many others, let's hope not to death, that is finally God's choice.

Extraordinary, irregular, unusual, rare, remarkable, uncommon, uncustomary, singular, unique. Yes indeed, you are quite right!

Yet the sovereign God in his sovereign grace sometimes has to exercise remarkable methods to ensure that his word reaches the chosen sheep of Jesus Christ and bring to pass a Holy Ghost regenerating work which ensures the poor lost sinner-sheep will voluntarily turn unto the Lord in repentance, earnestly sorrowing over his sin and desiring to turn from it, realising that Jesus Christ has paid the full penalty for his sin upon the cross of Calvary and risen again on the third day, and having ascended into heaven now calls his beloved to return to the Shepherd and Bishop of his soul (namely himself) in faith, and thus to "call upon the name of the Lord" and thus be saved (justified) for all eternity.

Salvation is of the Lord!

And then he can be baptised by full immersion - but NOT before!

Those who claim baptism effects regeneration are in such severe error as to be deluded. The Church of England and the RCC are equally wrong, which is why their buildings are never filled with the church, but with billy goats and nanny goats.

John Y, are you familiar with the doctrine of regeneration? There is evidence of salvation in all whom God saves and re-births. You perceive everyone who 'receives' Jesus as 'Christian'. Do you know what the word receive means? It is more than just a verbal commitment, it means 'of that which when taken is not let go, to seize, to lay hold of, apprehend, to receive a person, give him access to one's self'
As for the Reagans and their indulging in astrology, the book of Deuteronomy clearly forbids this activity. Those who Christ saves will not make a practice of this sin, or any sin for that matter.
Many Americans claim to be Christian, yet, we abort over 4,000 babies each day, the divorce rate among Christians is just as high as that of the unbelievers, only 11% of those who claim to be Christian actually read their bibles...there is definitely something wrong with this picture.
You are correct. But the fact of the matter is that nobody and that includes you and I and everybody else does not have the ability like Jesus to know if Reagan received Jesus as Savior before he contracted alzheimer's disease. Only the Lord Jesus knows for certain if Reagan received Him as Savior before he contracted alzheimer's disease.

And just how do you know for certain that Reagan did not receive Jesus as his Personal Savior before he contracted alzheimer's disease? The Lord Jesus is the only one who knows if Reagan received Him as his Personal Savior. That is what I hate about you lousy Evangelical Protestants on here, you Evangelical Protestants seem to think that you have the ability like Jesus to see into the hearts of everybody and tell who has received Jesus as Savior and who has not.

Obviously, our countries presidents are not our saviors. Political party matters and political party does not matter. Politically, our Constitution is what matters and it is what's presently under attack.
Pres. Reagan, attended church on avg. 3 times a year? Sounds like the common everyday "religious" unbeliever. Holidays or maybe holy days of obligation. Nancy stating that the reason for their absence was because of the hardship it would bring on other congregants who have to pass through metal detectors is a very lame excuse.

Pew muse, no doubt this article points out]]Why Should I Become an Active Member of a Church?. There have been people saved by others on by individuals, people from house churches in China, Russia, Islamic countries, or Utah.

If there aren't any churches in one's area, then get together with fellow believers and start a good one. It's a very flimsy excuse in democracies, to say "I'm too good for any churches around me, so I'm not going to go!" ]]Christ's Pattern for His Church.

By the way, Neil, who ever said that Ronnie was a Christian? Since he and his wife used an astrologer, neither need to apply for being Christian?

This thing is bigger than being muslim or not christian.
Your not asking the right questions.

Obama's ex pastor for the UCC gave Larry Farrakan an award (you know of nation of islam).

Obama's wife has connections with Farrakan's wife.

Farrakan, Schuller and Billy Graham all attended the same masonic lodge.

All have had sanction by the Pope.

Schuller trained Rick Warren who had Obama at his church.

This is just in your neck of the woods, it's going on everywhere

Labels and titles are illusions. We are talking about the erection of the final peices of mystery of iniquity that has been working through the Roman Catholic Church for 1500 years and everything it touches.

These guys don't think in terms like we do. These guys are occultists (more than just the hidden defnition).

These are the ones spoken of by Alice Bailey, Blavatsky, and numerous warnings through the ages by godly men and women.

These men have gazed into the void of the darkness (those who understand know what I speak of) and it has driven them mad.

Outside the visible church there is no ordinary possibility of salvation.
Outside the 'invisible' church there is no salvation.

But in many 'visible' churches their doctrine displays unBiblical hell bent practices which show that the truth is not in them. Hence no salvation therein. EG RCC and Liberals.

Really? You do know that the UCC is the most liberal, anything goes, kind of church don't you? He could still be a Muslim and allowed to be a member of UCC. He could be an openly gay Muslim and still be a UCC member or even a minister.
