Christian hoteliers charged with insulting Muslim guest
Ben and Sharon Vogelenzang are charged with breaching Section 5 of the Public Order Act – causing harassment, alarm or distress. If convicted, they face fines of £2,500 each and a criminal record.
It is understood that among the topics debated was whether Jesus was a minor prophet, as Islam teaches, or whether he was the Son of God, as Christianity teaches.
Among the things Mr Vogelenzang, 53, is alleged to have said is that Mohammad was a warlord. His wife, 54, is said to have stated that Muslim dress is a form of bondage for women....
Even more alarming(though seemingly much more innocent)is the sidebar, "The Holy Post Cafe". Seems that a couple of village churches are adopting "mega" characteristics. Seems that England has the same spiritual deadness as the U.S. where men (including true believers) are content to sit around and talk small talk(eg. cricket and football)with or without a cup of coffee, after the final doxology. Oh, that the church would prepare itself beforehand and talk about the sermon once the service is over. When the pastors turn their faces towards God(no more need for laughter), then we will find some churches who delight in the spiritual disciplines.
I'm sorry but how can stating a fact and debating get you into trouble . How illogical is that.
It goes to show that these people rather worship a man instead of God. In fact they are not even worshiping rightly their so-called God. They allways appear to be more zealous for Mohammed a sinful man instead of their God.
If these people were following the true god, they would not follow their flesh and take such offense that they would need to call in worldly law which they so despise to judge the case,instead they would try to convince or present some strong arguments for their beliefs and if they couldn't then they would pray for that persons spritual blindness to be lifted. Jesus allways told us to pray for our enemies and those who persecute us, and also to be a good testimony so that they too can be converted.
He never suggested that should anyone insults us or him that we take the case to be judged by a bunch of ungodly men and women. Our lord is quite capable of looking after himself after all he made this earth which demonstrates that Mohammed was just a mere man and not god and obviously has no power.
This country (UK)is really hitting the skid. I keep praying for my full conversion to stand strong as well as my finances, so I can leave.

As an expatriate Brit I agree with you all 100% (nice to be able to agree with GG for a change!). I assume things will no doubt get worse before they get any better.
I'm British, but I don't want to live in Britain any longer. It's not my country any more. It's not the place I grew up in. Not only was Mohammed (God Curse him), a warlord he was also a thief, bandit and paedophile. If it is a crime to state a historical fact then I am guilty, so come and charge me.
Ah! I see. Christian Hoteliers give up their right to have opinions or a personal faith in God and must allow their guests to insult their Religion. This could all be solved over a good old fashioned ham sandwich and a couple of bottles of Lone Star.
