BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Abraham didn't exist? The Exodus didn't happen?
The Bible's Buried Secrets, a new PBS documentary, is likely to cause a furor.
"It challenges the Bible's stories if you want to read them literally, and that will disturb many people," says archaeologist William Dever, who specializes in Israel's history. "But it explains how and why these stories ever came to be told in the first place, and how and why they were written down."

In Exodus Decoded, Mr. Jacobovici found almost a dozen overlooked relics that confirm the biblical story.
They include: a miniature, 3,500-year-old gold replica of the lost Ark of the Covenant, said to have been built during the Israelites' 40-year sojourn in the Sinai desert and three stone stelae with carvings depicting a charioteer chasing a single man through churning waters — the pursuer, like the Egyptian army, is ultimately drowned. & hieroglyph, the el-Arish stone, which appears to recount the Exodus from the Egyptian point of view — as a disaster, that is — and the seal of a royal scarab, found at Avaris north of modern-day Cairo, engraved with the name Ya'akov, the father of Joseph, who the Bible says was grand vizier, the second-most-powerful man after pharaoh. Barry Wilson, professor of religion, York University;Kenneth Green, professor of Judaic studies, University of Toronto& Mary-Ann Wegner, professor of Near and Middle Eastern studies at the University of Toronto, lend some support.

A maxim I learned a few years ago goes like this: "Your flesh determines your theology, or lack thereof."
Many critics, aside from those who have honest questions, would love to s uccessfully discredit the Bible because they don't want a Creator that they have to give an account to for their actions.
Union General Lew Wallace tried to do this very thing after the War Between the States. He wound up becoming a Christian and writing "Ben Hur, a Life of Christ".

I remember about a year ago I was up late and tuned in to PBS and much to my surprise there was a show on --- I think it was called "In The Life" --- promoting homosexual propaganda ... and this woman (lesbian) was telling everyone President Abraham Lincoln was a homosexual ... ... I think PBS still has this homosexual crap in their programming
A while back I heard a report that PBS received a government give away of $300,000,000.00 of ("Our") taxpayer dollars ... ... ...
It would be a good idea for people who send their hard earned money to PBS to let them know they WILL NOT support their programming if they continue to promote material that is based on lies and continue to promote the homosexual propaganda machine.
PBS is becoming another faulty cog that is breaking down the once sound social wheel of America !!!

It is unusual anymore to find archaeology that has a true Biblical worldview, if you eat the meat and spit out the bones, archaeology can be useful.
Don't feed the trolls... "likely to cause a furor" ... all they want is eyeballs for advertisers. This will join the ossuary, the bible codes, and all the rest in the garbage can of history.

We have many atheists attacking both the New and Old Testaments. At least we should have cried a few rabbis who will be unhappy with this PBS program, and help point out errors as well as Christians who will also.
