Clinton's 'Gutsy' Church Appearance Softens Evangelicals
Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton made what some called a “gutsy move” this week when she appeared at a conservative evangelical megachurch to talk about AIDS.
Initially, some felt ill at ease over the New York senator’s appearance at the Global Summit on AIDS and the Church hosted by Saddleback Valley Community Church because of her support for abortion and gay rights, which most evangelicals are opposed to. However, her emphasis on her Christian faith – which she regularly backed with Bible quotations – and concerns for the AIDS pandemic softened some evangelicals’ view of the candidate often painted by conservatives as liberal, calculative and cold.
A good reception at the influential megachurch might help Clinton make inroads among the evangelical voters.
“Sen. Clinton has the boldness to broaden her base…it shows she’s done her homework and she’s open to new ideas,”...
1. Of course "she has her own faith" else she'd be a Christian. As for her "interest in what's going on in the churches" it always pays to be aware of what your enemies are up to. And Mrs Clinton is very skilled at tracking and tricking her enemies.

2. Now why did she "... promise[d] to “set a goal of ending all deaths from malaria in Africa” ... by the end of a second term, ..."? Is she also running for "President of Africa"? I note that the promise is to "set a goal" AFTER nearly EIGHT years in office (should she [terrifying nauseating thought] be elected and then re-elected ) and not actually to accomplish anything. So she sets up a little something for her successor to fail at for if the goal was set at the end of her first term then she'd have to work it in her second and take whatever flak would result.
3. A standing ovation?! Was she preaching to the choir or did she actually make [bribe] some converts?

3-Her Father, Hugh Rodham, was an ardent supporter of Barry Goldwater in 1964, when he ran for U.S. President (Hence the 1992 Barry Goldwater endorsement of Bill Clinton [Hillary's husband].
4-She was raised as an ardent Old-Order Conservative Republican by her GOP Father--who voted Straight-ticket Conservative/Republican in the '50s/'60s/'70s/'80s--lest you forget that (covert Satanic-Vaticanist) Ronald Reagan was Barry Goldwater's speech-writer in the 1964 Presidential Race!
5-She is Hated by Today's Establishment Republicans with such Passion; not so much because she's presently Democratic: but because she is a "converted (Evangelical-Methodist) Old-Order Conservative-Republican ala Barry Goldwater"!
6-As a political-science major in College, she worked with The Special Prosecutor investigating President Richard Nixon's Watergate Scandal!
Satan can quote scripture and he did. Read Matthew 4:6 and Psalm 91:12. We need to be ever so careful of what we listen to. He is the father of lies like you say and we need to understand the context of the scripture so we are not deceived by scripture the evil ones do know and quote.

I beg to differ with you friends. If you listen carefully, the devil doesn't quote Scripture, he misquotes it. If we say that he quotes Scripture, then that means he tells the truth because the Holy Scripture is truth. But, Satan is a liar from the beginning, and he is the father of lies.
Leave it to the media to define for us what an "Evangelical" is in truth. The liberal media should first investigate if Saddleback is indeed preaching the "good news" before they pronounce such a blessing. But, that would presuppose that the media even knows where to start looking. When you have become all things to the world, you are lost to the truth and the place to begin.

I've already written that I like both Ron Paul and Mike Hukabee, but I'm a realist they aren't going to be the main Republican candidate. McCain is so closely associated with Bush that he would have a snowballs chance even against Hillary or Obama. Romney (sp?)is mormon and as Christians we shouldn't vote for him. I call Juliani (sp?) a democrat in all but name...so what is an independent conservative to do?

Good Comments about Satan quoting Scripture. You've also reminded me one of the places Jesus wonderfully cast demons out of someone was in the local synagoge, the church of the day if you will. Apparently the devil loves to attend church, especially if he is invited in by the local false teacher (wolf in sheep's clothing) behind the pulpit. Why the devil probably feels right at home where the world's music (which he probably helped inspire) is being played to entertainment the lost.
