Hillary gets standing ovation at Rick Warren's summit
LAKE FOREST, Calif. ‚Äď Within days of introducing a $50 billion plan to combat AIDS, Sen. Hillary Clinton received a standing ovation at one of the nation's most influential evangelical churches after addressing its "Global Summit on AIDS and the Church" today.

If the Democratic presidential frontrunner's aim was to make inroads into the heavily Republican evangelical electorate, her appearance at Saddleback Church with pastor and "The Purpose Driven Life" author Rick Warren apparently didn't hurt.

Saddleback Church member Cindy Logan told WND after Clinton spoke to some 2,000 conference attendees that as a Republican, the senator's visit was "a little bit of a challenge for me," but she, nevertheless, was impressed. ...

Heck if Rick Warren held up a big rock in front of his church, I imagine they would still give a standing ovation.

Its sad that the modern church has become and the problem is we have all contributed to its down fall in some way, shape or form.

Please check out a youtube video called "Open Letter of Apology to the World" and you will see WHY the church has fallen so far.

I would applaud Clinton if she was the one who was freely giving the $50 Billion of her own money, but she's not. She wants to rob tax payers to do this.
It's sad when Christians look to the coercive power of Government to force people to pay ever increasing amouts of tax to pay for things that the Church itself should be doing, funded by Christians freely and willingly giving.
All the more reason to vote Ron Paul.
This suggests that if the church were doing more, then the government would not be forcing us to pay ever increasing amounts of tax? I don't think you really believe that. The government is a tax engine to recycle corporate money back from the salaries they pay back into corporate profits. If the government would let people keep more of their money, they would be able to do more than have just enough to live. Giving to the poor is only a cover, a small percentage and then again, it is unconstitutional to give away what is not theirs to give even to the poor. "The poor you will have always with you." It will not be eliminated however much the government or the church give. Government officials always have and always break the constitution to use other peoples money to give away what is not theirs to give away.

What in the world does this have to do with the Monstrous Regiment of Women? Somehow I've never picked up that Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Movement was necessarily one devoted to militant ungodly feminism but much more a demonically brillant counterfeit of Christianity that redefines the church to be pleasing to the world and makes sinners comfortable to continue headlong in their sins into the eternal hell.
